OK, so did this raid occur because the bar was gay or because it was unlicensed or because of the drugs? Or maybe because the owner wasn't taking care of the police?

Also, is it SOP for the police to detain all the customers in a bar raid?

If I copied it right, here's a video of the gay Thai-Pop star arrested at the bar.

To me, it sounds like the bar didn't pay the money to the police that is normally paid. But, I have friends that own bars and a license is required.

Drugs are very taboo.

It is not an issue in Thailand that a star was caught here as sexuality is not an issue with most in the country and it won't affect his popularity.

Things never change. In the 1930;s my father told me that fireman broke the gambling tables in the back of a shop on Beale Street. Not because of the gambling but because the owner was not paying his "fees".
