I was wondering if the husky voiced lady still made boarding announcements at GIG.

There is a bit of history regarding the lady's position at GIG.

Prior to the World Cup last year, she was temporarily "fired" because the new owners at GIG did not want to continue using her voice to announce flights.

After much negotiating, she is back at work at GIG (according to the news article report).
