November 17, 201510 yr Anyone been to Uruguay lately? How is the scene? I hear it is very gay friendly. Are there saunas? hookers? guys for hire? Easy to find? I may be there for a few months next summer and am curious to know if it is going to be a good trip or not even worth planning. HELP!!!
November 17, 201510 yr Active Members Uruguay is definitely gay friendly, Oz, but I don't know the scene there. Everybody says that it is a very pleasant country, where time seems to have stopped. You say you'll be there next summer. Just remember that "our" Northern Hemisphere summer is their winter and that it might not be the best season to be there. One of the good things about Montevideo is that it is across the Río de la Plata from Buenos Aires....
November 18, 201510 yr Active Members The winters there are chilly, but nothing like the northern US. It's a very sleepy country, but very progressive, settled largely by immigrants from Northern Italy and Northern Spain. Good looking people.

Ahh...this brings back memories of two brothers from Uruguay that I met in at the old Boardwalk in No.Miami in 1997/98. and again met two guys from there at Lagoa in Sao Paulo this past year! Boiworship is right they are very goodlooking people!
November 17, 20241 yr Popular Post Hi, we are visiting Uruguay at the moment. We started in Montevideo which is a really beautiful city - gay scene is small but interesting- unfortunately some bars were only open from Thursday-Sunday (and we arrived on Monday). We stayed at the smart hotel and we were not the only gay guests there… We also visited the gay sauna Toronto which is a very modern clean place - arrived there in the late afternoon and stayed for 2-3 hours. No guys for money but guests from 25-60 very mixed crowed and a good masseur also. on Friday we drove with a rental car for the weekend up the coast to the Undarius hotel, a clothing optional all male hotel. Very clean place close to the nudist beach, 13 rooms, nice pool and hottub +sauna. Guests from Brazil, Argentina and Montevideo - love it here. At the nudist beach especially in the afternoon a lot of gays are looking for fun, starts on the parking lot and continues in the small pine wood behind the lake arroyo el potrero… Tomorrow we will continue our journey to Colonia del Sacramento and then, after a short stop-over in Montevideo we will fly to Rio de Janeiro and staying there for 11 days.
