And, it continues:

The real does its ups and downs every day and by the minute.

One thing for sure - Brazil's pathetic economy will not recover any time in the immediate future considering their frequent strikes and protests and laziness.

There are 28 legal federal holidays yearly in Brazil plus numerous city holidays - (plus weekends when many people do not work).

Is it any wonder that Brazil's economy does not recover?   There are too many idle potential workers

If the Brazilian government used their thousands of idle workers to repair the hundreds of thousands of damaged sidewalks and streets in Brazilian cities, Brazil's economy would be stimulated.   It would not cure the economic problem, but it would be a start.

Walk down nearly every street in Brazil and you will find countless pot holes and broken sidewalks and streets

All this is present while the inhabitants take their holidays and weekends - - and do their occasional protests.
