Houston, you will pay though the nose to go to Brazil and the DR. Just because it's a hub doesn't mean they keep their prices low, lol I've flown to Boston from Houston to get a flight to Brazil that will connect in Houston for a fraction of the price.

September 1, 20233 yr Flights out of Orlando are typically less expensive than many other possibilities. I live in the Tampa Bay, FL area and if I departed for Rio from Orlando instead of Tampa I could probably do so for a couple of hundred dollars less. Regarding Houston: When I use Google Flights to investigate travel to Rio, as an example, one of the lowest fares is on United but I'd have to fly from Tampa to Houston then connect to a flight to Rio.

Which can help keep prices low bs....just doesn't happen there. Yes, there are flight options, but not like in southern Florida or NYC. Atlanta I'm not sure about...never monitored prices from there.
