But I'll highlight a few "other side of the coin" things.

First, and most important, if Trump owns the economy, he owns the economic wreck.

The billion dollar question now is:  how long can this last?  Stanford grads are now having a hard time getting jobs in tech.  Maybe that is a localized issue due to AI.  But there is a vast gap between the idea that the market is on a roll and silver is going through the roof for silver investors, and meanwhile the average working class American is on the edge.

The verdict is already in that, even though the economy is holding together and stocks are up for the year, Trump got his ass kicked in a bunch of elections last Fall.  If I had to bet, I would bet heavily on Democrats taking the House this year.  The odds in the Senate are still less than 50/50, but they are growing by the day.  So there will likely be a bigger check on his power by the end of the year.

Republicans are starting to mouth out a little bit.  We had our lovely Marjorie Taylor Green moment.  Bless her heart.  I am no Chuck Schumer fan.  But he had predicted when Trump's disapproval gets to 55 %, Republicans will start working with Democrats.  And they have, to some extent.  Republicans don't like the Powell thing, either.

This GOP senator says reviving Obamacare subsidies would be ‘putting America first’

That was a surprise.   If there is any Democrat who should, in theory, be able to win in what I will call a predominantly MAGA White state, it is Sherrod Brown.  And Brown lost to Moreno in 2024.  I assumed Moreno was just a MAGA blowhard.  And maybe he is.

But this underscores that many Republicans know that they are committing political suicide.  Trump, President Rapist Corrupt Brain Shit, promised lower prices.  Instead now he is saying, "The oil is mine, the power is mine, any only my infected shit brain knows what is right and wrong.  Pay more for health insurance, my minions.  Eat cake!"

Maybe even Republicans can estimate the degree of toxic brain shit in the addled and shit-filled brain of our Rapist Corrupt Brain Shit President.  This is all above my pay grade.  But Brown is on the ballot again, running against Moreno's Republican colleague.  If Democrats do win Ohio, they will probably win Maine and North Carolina as well.  And hold the flip states like Georgia and Michigan.  That is still 50 votes, with "I Want To Be President Brain Shit's successor" Vance as a tie breaker.  So Democrats would need to win Iowa, or Florida, or Texas.  I would bet on Iowa.  And winning Iowa and Ohio would be a signal that President Brain Shit Rapist Corrupt Horrible Leader is losing the White working class.

One can only hope, Sis.  But word that Trump's brain is made of the kind of corrupt, rapist shit that people frown on is getting out, it seems.

And then he said he is running the place.  When, in fact, All Maduro's Men and Women, including the bad hombres who repress and jail them, are all still there.  The tentative conclusion was:  Maybe Little Marco knows what is going on.  One can hope.

Even the adults in the room, like Bessent and Rubio, have to work around the brain shit of President Brain Shit.  And we can debate whether Bessent and Rubio are the adults in the room.  I simply mean that they have a plan, whether I agree with it or not.  And then President Brain Shit just unloads his shit all over them.

As long as Trump RETAINS his 1/3 support, we have a problem.... So far it doesnt seem that the other 2/3 opposition is able to DEFEAT him in any way, as he gets more cocky and more violent.   So I am NOT optimistic.  And for all the effort Trump is exerting to mold public rhetoric and destroy trust in Dems,  I also dont think Trump will ALLOW a loss in the mids.  At this point he has way too much to lose,  the same position he was in in 2020 when the threat of going to jail hung over his head.   If he loses the mids, and avalanche of oversight is coming his way, and possibly even consequences for his cabinet members, unless he decides to PARDON them ?

If Trump was so concerned about the sovereignty and Democracy in Venezuela,  he would have released ALL the political prisoners being held over from the Maduro regime.  He had no problem immediately releasing all the Jan 6 insurrectionists, so why not Maduros political prisoners ?   Only 11 out of thousands have been released.  

It kills Trumps narrative about him wanting Democracy for the Venezuelan people.   NO he doesnt, he just wants to steal their oil, and then FUCK THEM,  they can rot in prison.

I completely agree with you.  There was another great article about a theory of Trump which is pretty simple.  The key phrase was "neo-royalty."  The argument is that much of what Trump is doing makes no sense if you think of this as a 19th century great powers/balance of power global situation.  So these academics argued you have to go back further, to royalty.
