December 31, 201114 yr I'm looking for an inexpensive yet quiet hotel. These 2 properties have very good rates but, based on maps, seem very close to bars and such. Any reviews of these hotels are most appreciated. Cheers. DD Inn Howards
December 31, 201114 yr I can tell about DD Inn - after midnight this small street (soi) is very quiet. By the way: if you concern about noise - you can book room with "garden view" - there are no any bars from backside of DD Inn. Be ready - DD Inn is budget, simple and basic guesthouse.
January 1, 201214 yr Howard's is usually pretty quiet, but recently some construction directly across the street has resulted in LOUD noise from early morning through the day. I don't recall it being an issue at night, but if you want to sleep past 8 or 9 AM, it might be a problem. I will defer to Moses on D&D. I have not stayed there. Two Guys guesthouse is about the same as Howard's and not really any bars nearby. There is no elevator at Two Guys, so if climbing steps is an issue, not a good choice. It is also a bit smaller, so sometimes they are booked up. Worth a look though: Two Guys website
January 1, 201214 yr Flamingo has rooms from 690~1200 baht & has a quiet location. It's clean & i like it. Two Guys can have motorcycles flying past @ 4:00 am, but the rooms at the rear should be quiet.
August 25, 201412 yr Flamingo hotel website now redirects to "Nickys Gay Pattaya" website, which only has a phone number and google coordinates. ie Not spectacularly informative. At least their previous website had some photos and prices. Now nothing. Looks like their marketing operation is retrenching to rely on the booking sites and walk ins.
