RockyRoadTravel Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Last three Democratic presidents there were 80 million net jobs added to the economy. Under the last two Republican presidents there were 1 million net jobs created. If you hate job creation and a growing economy for non-Wall Street, vote Republican. Quote
RockyRoadTravel Posted Sunday at 04:58 PM Author Posted Sunday at 04:58 PM There has got to be a better economic indicator than GDP. About 70% of GDP is driven by consumer spending which was hovering around 1% growth, if you believe in a growing economy that is weak. As weak as the Incompetent-in-Chief. But overall GDP growth was about 3%. Averaging out that billionaires are doing well under this "President" hides the disaster economy for the rest of us. Democrats need to batter home that the Republicans have always been bad for the economy and the government's financial situation. I know that "don't tax the rich or spend on average Americans" isn't catchy as a slogan - it's still a reality we can't afford. Quote

RockyRoadTravel Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago There were two bright spots for me about Jerrold Nadler's retirement announcement. First, he put the greater good before his own personal ambition. Second, he endorsed the Democratic Party's candidate for mayor of New York City, Zorhan Mamdani. Hopefully it'll lead to more endorsements and put to bed this weird notion that a democratic socialist is some kind of radical. The citizens of capitalist Sweden, capitalist Norway and capitalist Denmark have all fared better than American citizens with their democratic socialist governments. Quote
