Preparing for an upcoming trip to Rio de Janeiro, I've been reading various news sources to update myself.  I came across the following, today:

Mexico received around 11 million international tourists by air in the first half of 2025 alone and typically tops 40 million annually across all modes. ...The Dominican Republic passed 8 million visitors by August, and Thailand welcomed more than 35 million in 2024 with strong momentum this year. ... Brazil’s rebound is genuine by its own history, but the overall scale still trails leading destinations. ... Policy and access could shape what happens next. Since April 10, 2025, citizens of the United States, Canada, and Australia again need an electronic visa to enter Brazil—an added step for three key long‑haul markets.

Because Argentina is more expensive than here, many South Americans are coming to Brasil for shopping, travel, dining and of course sex 😳

Interesting.  It hadn’t entered my mind to travel to Brazil for sex. 🫢

Plus, Brazil has always been the main touristic destination for Argentineans. I remember when I was a child and a teen, way before I came out of the closet, how all my friends, relatives, and acquaintances used to pray Brazilian beaches, women, and sexual freedom. 

Despite the current circumstantial expensive nature of Argentina, no other country in South America has ever been not even a shadow of Brazil as a magnet and touristic powerhouse.
