RockyRoadTravel Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 The GOP lost state wide races in Georgia. Lost State Senate seats in Mississippi. Lost State Supreme Court votes in Pennsylvania. Lost 13 (at least at this point) State House seats in Virginia. Lost the races for Governor in New Jersey (by a lot more than expected) and Virginia. JD Vance's brother lost the race for Mayor of Cincinnati. The GOP endorsed candidate lost the race for Mayor of New York. With the Cuomo endorsement by Trump I figure it was the history of sexual harassment that tipped the balance and led to the endorsement embrace. Ruthrieston, vinapu and stevenkesslar 1 2 Quote

Lets just hope and pray voters memories last the duration of Trump, since Trump will continue to be himself, but Americans tend to get weary and disengaged once they become used to Trumps shit..... Last night showed us at least Americans are currently paying attention, and ignoring Trump and the GOP's usual rhetoric. Dems need to NOT forget that "you are only as good as your Last win", but you CANT drop the ball when you have a current success..... But then too, there aint no shakin that 30+% of diehard MAGA's , the trick is to NOT let them Grow their coalition .... vinapu and Ruthrieston 2 Quote
Members Suckrates Posted November 11, 2025 Members Posted November 11, 2025 After Dems historic clean sweep WINS in special elections on Nov 4th, Carnival barker Trump has embarked on a campaign to convince Americans that the "affordability crisis" that Dems are showcasing is a CON JOB that THEY fomented and that the economic pain Americans are feeling ISNT REAL because prices are MUCH lower under HIM then they were under Biden..... While American see their cupboards AND wallets bare, and continue to have to "go without" Trump is telling them that their REALITY is fake, and they are much better off now under him than they were in Bidens economy..... Although Trump has the power of a Wizard to convince people of things that DONT really exist or happen, will the American people eventually come to believe Trumps claim that THEY arent struggling ? That seems to be the key to the midterms. OR, is the only CON being perpetrated here by Trump ? Quote

The lack of any sort of anti-trust legislation from the government (where are you when we need you Teddy Roosevelt) is allowing a bunch of extremist right-wing billionaires to buy up the media landscape (the latest being Tik Tok). We will see what kind of impact that'll have on public opinion, versus the public reality of the Incompetent-in-Chief collapsing the USA economy. I still think that the Incompetent-in-Chief is deliberately tanking the economy, because the MAGA politics of fear and hate sells best in a crisis. ln spite of the attacks on the USA economy by this White House regime, the Democrats still managed to pull off sweeping electoral victories across the country campaigning against you know who. RockyRoadTravel Posted April 8 Author Posted April 8 More good news for America from Tuesdays elections results. A moderate won in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election, there's now a 5-2 moderate rule of law majority on the Court. An almost 20% swing towards the center from the far right in the most conservative district in Georgia. The big question for November remains will American citizens be able to participate in a free and fair election or whether the Incompetent-in-Chief will be try and steal the election through some combination of interference of a federalized national guard, ICE agents at the polls, and post office directives to not process the legal mail-in ballots of American citizens. lookin 1 Quote

THIS shouldnt be a question, but an EXPECTATION Trump WILL interfere in some combination of ILLEGAL actions and force ...The Dems and the courts should prepare accordingly. Quote

The best description I've heard of the Incompetent-in-Chief is this: he was born on 3rd base and he's spent his life trying to convince anyone who would listen that he hit a triple. stevenkesslar and lookin 1 1 Quote
RockyRoadTravel Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 The Incompetent has reached his lowest level of approval in this regime's 2nd term. 63% disapprove, with 37% approving. Big question for me who are the 37% who support corruption, incompetence, forever wars, higher inflation, no job growth and hateful behavior? Quote
RockyRoadTravel Posted June 8 Author Posted June 8 So the current regime in Washington DC is trying to steal the upcoming elections in two (broadly) ways: preventing eligible American citizens from voting; and by gerrymandering the election map. I'm starting to wonder if the Senate is becoming more likely to flip than the House of Representatives (or as Mike Johnson likes to call it the House of UnRepresentatives). With the Senate the GOP is only picking their voters one way, preventing eligible voters to register and vote. There is no gerrymandering. (Although I wouldn't put it past The Incompetent's regime to suggest State gerrymandering - add a little of Alabama to Georgia to make it less purple.) With the Supreme Court legislating from the bench to promote systemic racism in the electoral system, the House of Representatives is becoming a harder goal. Quote
RockyRoadTravel Posted June 18 Author Posted June 18 A Democratic win in a State Senate election in Georgia has prevented a Republican super majority. The Georgia State House also decided not to go through with a further Republican gerrymander of the congressional map. Georgia will be an interesting State to watch come November. Quote
RockyRoadTravel Posted June 20 Author Posted June 20 Left of center candidates are continuing to win at the City mayoral level of politics (Seattle, New York City, Washington DC to name a few). It'll be interesting to see if exposing the neo-conservative attack on the middle and working classes will be a more winning strategy than appeasing the extreme right wing economics of the Reagan revolution. RockyRoadTravel Posted June 21 Author Posted June 21 Even the very right leaning Real Clear politics has the Democrats up on the generic ballot by 4.8%. If past elections are an indicator of future estimations by RCP you could almost double that number. The actively racist and partisan gerrymandering of congressional seats by the Republicans (the GOP thinks that politicians should pick their voters, not voters picking politicians), will have an effect on the eventual outcome of the midterms. How many qualified American citizens the GOP can prevent from voting in November is going to be impact the election outcome. With any luck The Great Incompetent will be front and center of the GOP campaigns, Americans hate him, that'll drive up vo turnout amongst the patriates of the center and left. Latbear4blk 1 Quote
