I’ve been reading through a lot of trip reports and put together a few questions. Hopefully, these will be helpful for others as well. I’d especially appreciate feedback from anyone who has experience with the scene in both the DR and Brazil because visited Brazil many times. 1. What’s the safety situation like? I’m used to being on high alert in Brazil, but honestly, I’d rather avoid that constant tension and the eyes in the back of my head feeling regarding robberies or getting my drink spiked. I know nobody can give me hard stats, but I'd love to hear your personal experiences, especially compared to Brazil. Am I right to expect a more laid-back vibe in the DR? 2. Accommodation: I prefer Airbnb over hotels, so I won't be able to register guests at a front desk. Are there usually any issues bringing guys into an Airbnb? 3. Neighborhoods: Aside from Ciudad Colonial, where else should I look? I’ve checked out a lot of apartments there and realized I’d be much more comfortable in a more modern, up-to-date place. 4. Performance: As I understand it, most of escort guys are straight. Right? How are they with staying hard? I can’t stand it when a guy has to watch straight porn just to stay hard enough to fuck me. In Brazil, that’s rarely an issue - is it common in the DR? 5. Groups: How do DR escorts feel about groups? Are there any issues if they are both straight? My perspective on this is that guys in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, even the coasts of Colombia, are hot blooded. Not just in bed, but temperament wise. Things can flip from chill to aggressive pretty quickly if someone feels disrespected or jealous.... latinos are posesivo and jealous, lol More laid back than Brazil? In my opinion, no. Different energy, yes. Less intense? Not necessarily. Would that stop me from going? NO. One thing to remember, hotels give you an extra layer of security. There is staff, cameras, someone at the desk if a guy gets annoying or decides to show up uninvited later. Just make sure you book somewhere that allows visitors. Once you have established a few regulars and know who is who, then maybe Airbnb makes more sense. Quote
