Who is Chakrit Sakukrit?

He lives in Koh Samui and owns the the Wellness  Sanctuary. And he's not Thai but British. According to today's Guardian, his real name is Christopher Harbourne and he's rich. Very rich. A crypto- currency man. That's where the cash is nowadays, apparently. I don't even know what it is.

Why is he  front-page news here in the UK?  Apparently, he helped our very own racist would-be politician, Nigel Farage, to win an election and enter Parliament with a huge  donation- American readers will note the pattern- and Farage's struggling party has been doing very well (or badly, if you have principles) and he is quite likely to become the next UK Prime Minister. His politics are those of a White Nationalist and his supporters are the sort we saw on January 6 at the White House. He was inevitably  an apologist for Trump, who has few friends here. Recently he has (wisely) distanced himself, presumably because the war is  in the process of screwing our economy. 

Thailand has attracted some very unusual people over the decades. The very wealthy, of course. And , it has to be admitted, those on the run from UK taxes. And from the police.
