Has anyone ever attended these february carnaval parades at the malecon, and can share info ?

You dont want to miss Independence day or Carnaval in the Malecon. It is absolutely 💯 amazing and both parades lasts from about 11 until 10 p.m. Its insanely fun! At least the carnaval parade last for about 12 hours.

The military parade has the most beautiful dominican men youve ever laid eyes on.

Its not like Brazil Carnaval. In DR you just walk to the malecon and find a place to stand. Lots of ppl sitting in a park in the Malecon drinking and having a great time but to view the parade you just stand on the sidewalk.
