At the last minute, after the deal was almost set, the USA added more and more concession demands including "not signing any comprehensive trade agreements with any other country."  Is anyone surprised that the Canadians walked away from the table?  Canada wasn't going to sign a trade deal that undermines national sovereignty. 

This failure will cost American consumers as Canada will impose a dollar for dollar tariff taxes on American products, oil, aluminum, steel, agricultural products etc. To protect Canadian based industries.  

This is the full 23 minutes of Prime Minister Carney's comments after the negotiations collapsed after Lutnick got involved. Carney is clear, coherent and transparent in both English and French.

Answer: "that's for the Americans to answer. And we had unity on our side of negotiations, the same can't be said for the Americans."

In the Epstein bubble, Lutnick has already proven himself to be a LIAR.....  Add to that the fact that he is an incompetent WHITE DEI hire,  it should come as no surprise his involvement couldnt close a deal....  Everyone now knows that NOONE in the Trump administration can be trusted, and their only interest in any negotiation is "making themselves richer"....

It sounds like the American and Canadian negotiators were making slow but steady progress toward a renewed trade deal.  Then Lutnick arrived and put national sovereignty into the negotiations ("no other deals with other countries") and blew up all the work that had been done.  

I can see why the Canadians walked away.  I'm glad they did.  Let's see what the Incompetent TACO does next.  He's been strangely silent.

Yeah, right.   But Americans are more unified about this than Canadians.  So there.

Okay, great.  So 56 % of Canadians agree with Carney that Trump can't be trusted.

But poll after poll shows Americans are even more unified.   A WaPo poll last year showed 64 % of Americans oppose how Trump is using tariffs.  A New York Times poll earlier this year also said 64 % of Americans oppose Trump's tariffs. 

But Americans are even more unified than that.  71 % of Americans agree that Trump's tariffs will have a negative impact on inflation in the US.   And 56 % of Americans agree that it will negatively impact US global economic leadership.

Take that, Canada!

I don't mean to sound smug or triumphant.   But doesn't it show America is smarter, and more unified, for electing Trump to lower our prices in the first place?  🤔

By the way, need any drones?  I heard Trump's kids are selling some for cheap.
