A $5,000 check as a bribe to achieve a Republican congressional sweep. A $1 trillion vote-buying scheme, funded with taxpayers' money, of course (or, to be precise: with taxpayers' credit card, because the USA is already $40 trillion in debt). It's illegal everywhere in the country to stand outside a polling place and offer people $20 to vote for you. I know Trump says wacky stuff every day, and it's probably just a meaningless promise, but shouldn't this ring some alarm bells even in a submissive Congress?
