Missouri's junior Senator Eric Schmitt fell on his face yesterday at a Senate Committee hearing. The perjury trap he thought he was setting for former Special Counsel Jack Smith backfired, because it was bullshit and no one checked Schmitt's "facts", and he was left looking like a fool.

For his hearing charade Schmitt had poster boards produced of text messages from Jack Smith's team. The text messages were about what seats they were going to be sitting in for a basketball game. Check your facts Schmitt, you're a lawyer by training. He starts accusing Smith of conspiring with Fannie Willis in Atlanta because of a Hawks game.

Idiot. It was a Iowa Hawkeyes game in Maryland. Schmitt completely face planted and looked like a fool. (Guess they shouldn't have sent out a tweet before the hearing about being considered as JD Vance's running mate in 2028.)

Did Senator Schmitt apologize for his baseless accusations and name calling? Of course not. He's a MAGA junior Senator.

MAGA media is working overtime to spin Schmidts HUMILIATION into a WIN....... while the commentators on The Charlie Kirk show, and pundit Benny Johnson doubled-down, completely IGNORING the facts and truth of what happened at the hearing and maintained that Schmidt HAD and presented emails implicating Smith........ and "owned him " !

Along with everything else Trump has BANNED, "APOLOGY" is included in those bans.....

The only saving grace that American citizens have is that this rag tag mob of wannabe autocrats are a clown car. The junior Senator who Schmitt the bed was so clearly thinking he had set up a perjury trap and then face planted because he doesn't know his own mid-west sports teams. The only trap that was successfully snapped was Schmitt's own goal. And in case Senator Schmitt-face is reading this, an "own goal" is where you score on yourself rather than the other team.

Schmitt sounds like a "good" fit for a J.D. Vance ticket.

Unless Schmidt is CHASTISED by his own party, which doesnt seem he is, this event has no meaning, and we have seen the GOP make raging fools of themselves before at these hearings. They become a story, for a minute, and then fade until the next one, although the Schmidt one was of colossal proportion. Nonetheless Trump and the GOP are incapable of embarrassment, and this episode wont deter them.
