All those reviews are helpful but there's still room for our own judgemnet-not referring to this thread again. Likely many of us at one point were disappointed with boy others were raving about and got feedback that our favorites weren't that good at all, certainly my experience on quite a few occasions either way

Sometimes, the first time with a new lad is great and the next time a dud. No doubt, a poor performance the first time might improve greatly the next time, but few of us would give a second chance after a bummer first time.
