More College Sex Workers in USA

Featured Replies

I found it interesting that the numbers are increasing.  I have seen a larger number of guys advertising online and asking for "roses" on Craig's List and offering releasing massages on Grindr.

The link refers to an example in the UK, somewhat contradicting the title.

They say 2.4% of male students have been involved in sex work.
I suspect the responses are unreliable, as 2.4% might say anything for a laugh.

If that is repeated across all Universities here, then at least 60 people in my local University would have been working at some point in each year. All I can say is their marketing must have been pretty subtle as I have not seen one single example on any of the likely websites, in 10 years.

Perhaps it's the lower ranked universities attracting the more impoverished students.

I  remember those days when I was a struggling student, around 20.

I had just served my National Service (army training) and of course, the muscles were all in the right places.

I was much more beautiful (and cuter) then.

As an easily impressionable young gay man, it was difficult to shoo off temptations like branded goods.

There were not much work available and I do know escorting was one of the options.

I mean escorting (including modelling assignments) were available to those who were willing to sacrifice.

I chose home tuition instead.

The money was adequate and I am not saying that escorting was not on my mind at all.

But I refrained because I really did not want to be gossiped.

And I had an 30s-Australian lawyer whom I was dating throughout the undergrad years.

He wasn't a sugar daddy to me.

No, it was not a financial arrangement but he did pay for the more expensive dinners whereas I paid for the foodstuff from the supermarket and fast food restaurants.

It was an equal relatonship.

Honestly, I don't really scorn at those who did the escorting assignments.

It takes a whole lot of dignity to sleep with someone whom you don't like.

I have a lot of respect for Thai boys although they ain`t my cup of tea.
