Pushing back against rude cell-phoners

I used to think NYers were rude when they ignored you while walking down the street. I soon learned that in a crowded city, this was a self preservation technique where one could sort of be alone amongst many other folks. With the proliferation of cell phones and public conversations, have things gone decidedly the other way? It does seem so, doesn't it?

Although not currently legal in the US, there are devices that limit cell phone coverage within a certain distance around them. Theaters and other such public places might be prime candidates for them. I am not so sure about having one on one's person; for one thing, you own cell phone wouldn't ring. ^_^

Best regards,

RA1

Why do so many people seem to think they have to shout to be heard on a cell phone? And share all the details of their private lives? Escorts know the value of speaking quietly and discreetly. My friends are used to me walking away from them to take a call from a client.

I can imagine just about every escort I ever knew doing the same. Not only is it proper discretion for escorts, it is just good manners for everyone. Unfortunately, good manners are not often practiced in the present era.

I always feel embarrassed when my cell phone rings in the presence of others. More often than not, I prefer to send the call to voicemail, then conveniently excuse myself to listen to the voicemail and return the call (if it cannot wait).

My cell phone is a business tool, which honestly, I probably wouldn't even have if it wasn't for professional necessity.

I'm happiest in places where I can't communicate by phone...the beach in Mexico, an airplane, tongue up some young thing's ass.
