No, he's just being stupid, lol

How many years have I been traveling the  having world having AMAZING times??

He can live in his world, I live in mine.....

I travel almost every week across the world. I live in a muslim country and do business in the mentioned countries. Hunting for sex in these countries is plain stupid. I know of quite a few horror stories even in the most cosmopolitan part of the muslim world.

why go anywhere then?

I had amazing sex in Morocco AND Egypt, something about meeting them before they become westernized??

Met some guys in Brasil and Thailand that told me Tunis is great......

If I had a choice between Morocco and Tunisia i'd go with Tunisia when it comes to sex with locals.  I had no problems with the three guys I hooked up with in Tunis (unlike Morocco as I described in my post).  The men are every bit as hot and horny as in Morocco, but I found at least online you are more likely to find just everyday guys looking to hook up in Tunis and less hustling than in Morocco.  Nicely equipped too!

It is highly unlikely that a westerner would have capital punishment applied to them in Morocco and Egypt.  It is even unlikely that Moroccans and Egyptians would be punished with death for homosexuality in their own countries - though being jailed is likely.  I wouldn't make light of it though, there is certainly a legal distinction between Latin American countries and Muslim countries when it comes to homosexuality.  I find this anxiety is no longer as exotic as it used to be but that is me.  I certainly think people should be very clear eyed about the legal risks engaging in homosexuality in Muslim countries.  The risks are real and certainly more present than most other parts of the world.

Even a few days in jail is more than enough. I am based in the most cosmopolitan part of the region and I know of incidents where people got jailed for months for less "serious offences" like a light man to woman kiss in public. These incidents are not common but they are not rare either. And they are never published. So my advice is stay away from the locals. I you really like ME men there are plenty in Europe and the US. Hook up with them there. Personally I stick to the young blond flight attendants from Australia and Europe :)

My point is there is no death penalty in those countries for gay sex....and after you point out you like blondes from Australia and Europe....that says more about your bias than anything.

And Stupid, no.....you don't know me, so don't assume. I've met in person many other board members that would say otherwise....probably.

And if I remember correctly, didn't you recently post that you came from a different message board....don't bring your attitude along with it.

As far as just hooking up with them in Europe well - there is also the cultural experience and the exotic allure of visiting and meeting with locals in the native country.  That is as if not more appealing than simply having sex with a Moroccan or Tunisian in Paris.

Not to mention the cost is probably five times less...

I'm new to this forum and have been enjoying reading all the posts and topics quite a bit.  It is nice to be in an arena with like minded guys/interests. I think people should be able to engage in a civil discussion, even when there is disagreement in here without making personal attacks.  There really is no need for it!

No personal attack. Just a figure of speech. Pls don't be so sensitive :D

No personal attack....guessing English is not your first language??

These were not personal attacks, just assessments.

And you are right, English is not my first language. But I speak better English than most Americans.

I just wanted to revive the original intention of this thread to see if anyone tried a Hammam in Morocco and how they found it? Thanks!

I did. I visited Marrakesh in 1993, traveling with a friend. We asked to our hotel concierge and he pointed us to a hammam nearby the main market. Sorry I do not remember the details after almost 3 decades. I was very discrete and did nothing "inappropriate". My friend was caught masturbating with one of the young men and both were asked to leave.

I do not know how the situation is now. Back then there was nothing like a sauna where you can have sex. Most people had very limited access to water, and these are the establishments where they actually deep clean themselves once a week. I stayed overnight in a family house in the Medina in Tetouan. I was told this was a lower middle class family, she was employed as a cleaner in Ceuta and he was a musician (I found out that women in Morocco have all the hard jobs and all artists are men). Their house in the local Medina was quite roomy but had only one water source in the room where they cook and also pee and shit. No shower, no place to take a bath. I was told this was a regular arrangement in the whole country.

Interesting, thanks for that. I think the water situation has changed quite significantly, so that's not an issue anymore. Goof to hear about the Hammam, I sense it's probably quite risky.

I hope I was clear that I was describing traditional culture living. Next to the Medina you also had modern European buildings with all the comfort we are used to. I stayed in hotels in Tanger, Casablanca and Marrakesh, and we had no shortage of water or modern comfort.

In the 90s, I played around some with guys in the Middle East and North Africa. Now that I'm older and craftier, I realize I could have had so much more sex. It was a very down-low, don't-ask-don't-tell culture but if you could handle the risk and hypocrisy (or like the excitement), there was almost too much. I chatted up a beautiful young guy in Tunis and kept running into him on the streets. I took him to a movie and my hand carelessly dropped from the armrest into his lap. His cock was rock hard by the time my crimson claw reached it. He took my hand away, but the reaction is not what one would think: "Must go to hotel," his whispered. I was young and risk averse and passed that up.

In Marrakesh I noticed a buff guy in a hammam, not the usual clientele. He said he was a masseur. Um-hmm. In the cubicle he gave a desultory rub-down and had no objection when I said I wanted to give him a rub-down. Uh huh. My wandering hands, now aided by soap lather, just accidentally slipped under his boxer briefs. He immediately grabbed my hand, but guess what? "Au hammam, non. A la maison, oui." We went to a friend of his in the medina. The sex was meh, and there was a friendly little attempt at kidnapping when they blocked the door until I paid the friend the same amount for use of his den. But afterwards, it was tea and cookies.

In Jordan, I chatted up a coffee-stand guy, one of the most beautiful 20-somethings I've ever known. I lost all shyness with this one and basically didn't leave him alone. The Arabs have such a deep culture of desert hospitality that they can't kick anyone out. This guy worked alone in an all-night coffee shop. By the time he betrayed the slightest bit of annoyance at my presence, he also knew what was up. What struck me was how normal and unoffended he was when the topic was laid out in the open. The issues were more who, what, and most importantly, where. Just when I was ready to give up, he motioned for me to come over while he was standing near the sink. There was a bulge in his crotch pressing against the sink. Those were probably the most exciting 30 seconds of my life, and he came in my mouth. I think the door of the coffee shop was open the whole time, but he thus managed to get rid of me and a troublesome boner.

In Egypt I found a "gay" hammam, and yes there was all-out sex there, but they all seem to want to top. I blew a beefy guy with Samson-like hair who accepted the blowjob almost like a second-best to settle for. There was another incident at a major tourist site that I won't get into for risk of causing an international incident.

Admittedly, much of the fun was in the long, risky chase, not in the quickie-capture. I cannot deny that it was all risky and I don't know if I would press my luck again. However, I look back and think about the gorgeous muscular French-Moroccan on the beach, or the cute orange juice seller in the Djemaa el Fna who produced a neatly typed strip of paper with his name and phone number (hmmm?), or the young Syrian whose arms rippled while he pounded ice cream (that's how they make ice cream) with a huge battering ram. Worst, the very first Moroccan I chatted up after arriving in Tangiers had a gorgeous bronzed body in a tank top. He was trying to lure me to some overpriced hotel that paid him a commission, so my alarms were all up. Looking back now, it would have been so worth it to pay the hotel's rate and offer him another, special commission that I'm sure he would have accepted. I also have the feeling that much of the uniformed personnel in those countries, especially the poorly paid recruits and the poorly-trained "tourist" police, are available. Half of them are always just lingering around listlessly with probably nothing on their mind but sex and money and the lack of both.

They can be found everywhere in Europe, no need to go to their countries.

The Arabs in their own country are far more friendly, warm, chatty, and welcoming. In Europe, they are just like any Westerners. Some seem sullen and beaten down by all the issues facing largely unwelcomed immigrants anywhere. It's not just about looks.

As I mentioned, I found some action in a hammam in Marrakesh. You have to be careful and discreet and have somewhere else safe to take it. The only open sex I found in a hammam was in Cairo. Marrakesh was over 20 years ago, Cairo about 10 years ago.
