Playas del Este...Mi Cayito. I'm barely out in the sun....I mean so barely that I need to take a vitamin D supplement #vampirelife

The more common scam (which some saunas used to do sometimes, apparently) is to scan your card on one reader and then āit doesnāt go throughā ā and they use a second reader which somehow always works. But they have your number on the first reader, and they can either sell that number or make a charge later.

Boyztown and Boyz Boyz Boyz was changed to Z's for that reason. I use the term Kid a lot when referring to someone younger than me, think it's a Boston thing, a lot of people I grew up with do as well, we refer to each other as kid or hey kid too....š¤·āāļø

This happened to me decades ago in BrazilāI had a camera stolen by someone I knew. A few days later, I ran into him on the street and asked why he did it. His answer was simple: he needed money. I dragged him to the police station myself. He laughed the whole way, certain nothing would happen. But after I spoke with a detective (and a little money changed hands), they discovered he already had a warrant. The look on his face when they put him in handcuffs and led him to a cell was priceless. The detective even asked if I wanted him roughed up laterāI said no. I didnāt hate him, I was just disappointed, because we had known each other for a long time. Iāll never forget what a Brazilian who had lived in Miami once told me outside of Corujinaās: āDonāt trust anyone completely. Always stay sharp and lock everything up. No matter how much you think you can trust them, desperation can push people to do things you wouldnāt expect....They've sucked cock for money after allā Those words have stayed with me everywhere I travel.

I know Mexicans in Texas do it on birthdays.... and this is from Google: The tradition of "garlands of money" for a birthday is most prominently seen in New Orleans, where friends and family pin money, often in dollar bills, onto the celebrant's clothing as a public announcement and a way to show well wishes. This tradition is rooted in African and African American customs of "dashing" people with money for good fortune, and it allows strangers to also give money to the birthday person. Another related practice is the creation of a money lei, common in Hawaiian and other Pacific Island traditions, where folded bills are strung together as a decorative gift.

You should definitely branch out a bit! Iāve been to over 80 countries, and for a while I just kept running back to Thailand and Brazil on repeat. Still love them, but now I try to fit in a new destination each trip. Tomorrow itās Argentina for the first time, then Uruguay and Paraguay before heading to my old reliable Brazilāwhere, of course, Iāll miss the mythical Namazu and @Latbear4blk by a few days, and depart just before @Mavica lands. In October Iām mixing in some new spots in India before looping back through Manila, BKK/Pattaya, Bali, and Jakarta⦠where Iām hoping to catch up with a few peopleāand gracefully dodge a few others. š

Thereās definitely a lot of sticky rice, especially in certain circles⦠but thankfully the potato queens are around too š. I always joke with my Asian friends who say theyāre shy or conservativeāthat may be true in public, but behind closed doors or in a dark room, theyāre up for everything

For those that haven't been to Bali, Bule = Farang š Sounds like a hot party, I'll have to be on the lookout for something like that next time....š

Business or Economy? Copa runs an all-737 fleet. In Business Class, itās 2x2 lie-flat seating; in Economy, itās the usual 3x3, which can get uncomfortable on longer flights. Service is generally punctual (weather permitting). Meals are basic in both cabins ā nothing to rave about ā but they do serve guayaba-pineapple juice, which I like a lot. The crews are usually young, professional, and friendly. Youāll probably be one of the few gringos onboard. Flights to Southern South America often arrive and depart at odd hours, so plan ahead with hotel check-ins and check-outs. Iām heading to Argentina on Copa this Tuesday in Business; if you buy early, their fares are usually very reasonable. Connections in Panama (PTY): Panama is an easy hub to connect through, but if you arrive in one terminal and depart from the other, be ready for a long walk. Hopefully your gates are close. Lounge & Airport Notes: The Copa Club is large, with free drinks, but the food options are weak ā mostly bread, not much protein. PTY has plenty of duty-free shops, and if youāre buying cologne, try negotiating; sometimes theyāll ārememberā a promotion. Also, PTY has a lot of hot passengers passing through ā soccer teams, gymnastics teams, etc. ā so plenty of eye candy if you like people-watching. For check-in and Brazil immigration donāt forget to print out two copies of your visa, one Brasil immigration supposed to keep the other is for you. Did I leave anything out?

Down Memory Lane - Rio de Janeiro - Chopperia Corujinha

The apps/sites pretty much made the "after sauna" hunting for clients a thing of the past. I've been back since, no one from those days remain working there now, however 6 years ago 2 or 3 of the same waiters were there, I'd go by once a trip to eat, drink and show some old pictures to them and laugh about the old times.... I originally was going to say about 3 years ago, but when looking for the pics I took, found it was 6 years ago....wtf, where does the time go š„ŗ -

So I guess you're going to let him stay at your place after all.... just be careful of the balcony and your neighbors.
