years ago, a farang recommended carrying a second wallet with little cash and credit cards from closed accounts. This second wallet was intended to be given up if mugged. I never followed the suggestion but maybe it would be more useful in a more dangerous city. The farang did warn that the mugger could get angry and get violent with the little money in the second wallet.

It looks like G.A.Y. boy beer bar, formerly R. Bar has ceased operations. I heard the problem was rent wasn’t paid.

I don’t believe one could off the waiters in the old Panorama. I think one could get telephone numbers and make their own arrangements. Perhaps, someone knows for certain. i believe the same system is in effect in Telephone Bar beer and Balcony bar in Bangkok .

Very quiet last night, no customers only staff. All of Boyztown was very quiet as well. New Panorama looks good, modern, clean. The upper floor wasn’t open yet. Most of the staff were from old Panorama.

BBB Inn closing this weekend. Why, because farang owner losing money every month. Business totally dried up.

Opening scheduled for first week of September with two floors. Upper floor for snooker (pool) tables and lower floor for bar.

Thanks kokopelli. I forgot to mention Dodos. Nice friendly group of bar hosts. Many former Sunee Plaza boys have relocated to Jomtien Complex as Sunee continues to wither away.

The USA has a racist homophobic government as well. The extreme right wing has made visiting more difficult and has a nightmarish approach to immigration unless you’re blond blue eyed and christian. White nationalists are encouraged gun violence rampant but I for one would still go to both countries and am planning a trip to Brazil next year.

There’s a new boy show bar just outside Jomtien Complex. It’s a large nicely renovated space and is a Boy show bar. We were too early for the show and there weren’t any customers but a fair number of lads milling around. I will stop by for the show in next few days and update.

R bar beer is now called G.A.Y. Bar. It’s opposite Sun beer bar. Great name but alas very few lads last night when I passed by. Sun was also light on boys.

When I interview a new lad, I ask his age, his weight, his nickname and where he’s from. Sometimes I’ll also ask if his cock is ‘original ‘ and also if he has any mooks. The boys all seem to know the terms ‘original’ and mook.

Yes, Eros closed today for good. The bar has been demolished inside. Final party tonight was outside the bar. Several of the Eros boys are relocating to Dream Boys Gogo Bar in Boyztown area.

Back to the topic, Boyztown noise. Last night there was a small stage outside Cupidol Boy gogo Bar with eardrum shattering loud music and singing.

The best place in Pattaya to find older gay farangs is Jomtien Complex. Far less than in high season but still plenty there. I doubt many on this forum are looking for old gay farangs.

J, I hope you don’t take the lack of response personally. Perhaps you are getting pms. Very few gay farangs are in Pattaya now. It used to be one could always find older gay farangs in the Sunee Plaza Bar beers, but those days are gone, at least till high season. Another sure bet in years past was Dongtan Beach in Jomtien. Numbers are way down.

I stopped in again last night and had a good time. Plenty of boys, a few customers and friendly frisky atmosphere. Eros was fun for a change, plots of boys and no sign of rumoured closing.

vinapu makes a valid point. Reminiscing about the good old days is fine, but what matters to me is now and the near future. There’s still plenty to enjoy and one can always have memories. I prefer to make new memories and enjoy the present.

The Chinese are keeping the BOY bars in business. The older gay farangs are few and far between. Panorama was in death throes for a long time before closing as their customer base dried up. Many nights Panorama had no customers. The day of the older gay farang has passed. As an older gay farang, I’m thrilled that the Chinese Women and men are keeping the boy bars busy and staying open. I’m seeing more gay Chinese men as well this year.

I agree with J. Sunee Plaza extremely quiet. Last night I was in Jomtien Complex and surprised how quiet it. I had a good time in massage shop followed by drinks with two friendly lads at Cockatoo. Nai and Pong aka Boy a pleasure to know and have a drink with. A few night ago, I was surprised to see only 2 boys on stage at Toy Boys in Boyztown. Only difference from J. was in Dream Boys, where I counted 15 gogo boys on stage. Only 2 customers, my friend and me. I had a drink with Yut, delightful older gogo boy with fair command of English.
