Not according to me, my friends, and many others. In all honesty, the way you feel about Chez Vickie is how I feel about Bordeaux. I think Chez Vickie is excellent. I enjoy it very much and, as I said, so do my friends. Only a few nights ago six of us were there and every one of us loved it. I'm glad you like Bordeaux, but I'll be across the street at Chez Vickie. Like I said, it's all individual taste. You have your favorites and I have mine. They don't have to be the same places, do they? It's just like people's tastes in boys. Some like the muscle types. Some like the femme types. Again, individual taste and preferences. In that immediate area there is Bordeaux, Chez Vickie, and Le Montecristo. I think people who wish to eat in that area should try all three of them and decide for themselves which ones they prefer instead of relying on us having a debate about it on the board. Some people will agree with you, some with me, some with neither of us, and some with both of us. Do you disagree?

Poseidon Restaurant, Jomtien Complex - 2 Excellent Deals

My group, among many others, gave the Weekend B.B.Q Dinner Buffet a try on its opening night. Many quite well-known people were there, including several members of the Pattaya Mail staff. Both Pascal and Kim were also there to make sure all went well. It did! Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and I overheard plenty of compliments. The food, quality, and service were up to Pascal's high standards. Everything went off beautifully. I asked Pascal how he can do this at this price. He simply smiled and said, "It isn't easy." If you enjoy this kind of buffet, I highly recommend giving it a try. Make reservations. If last night was any indication, it's going to be a packed house every weekend. The breakfast buffet's opening day is tomorrow (Monday). My group will be there, for sure! -
I think one of the gents I wanted to ban has finally gotten the message too. The problem is even if you are able to block his number, all he has to do is borrow someone else's phone. That way you won't have that number stored. What I do is simply not answer an incoming call if I don't already have the number stored. If someone calling me with an unfamiliar number sends me a text message telling me who they are, I'll either answer or call back if it's someone I want to speak to. However, in most cases I simply don't answer an unfamiliar number.

Six places you never thought you could afford

To tell the truth, for me it's much easier to simply copy and paste a link than to do the whole article, which sometimes is a pain to do when you have to go around photos, ads, etc. We'll see how it goes for a while. Bkkguy has made his point, but he doesn't run this web site, as much as I believe he'd like to. The final decision as to how we'll handle posting articles is up to GT. -
I can only hope that's a promise. Of course, if you want to break your silence some time to let us know why it took you 4 years to start this up, I, for one, am all ears.

That's better than nothing. If someone I block persists with SMS's, he really would have no way of knowing whether I received them or not. When someone is blocked, if he tries to dial my number, what happens on his end? Does he get a message telling him he's been blocked? Does he simply get a busy signal? Do you, or anyone else, know what happens on the "blockee's" end?

Watching your own TV, thousands of miles away

And if it does, then I have a question. If I have a friend in the USA willing to let me connect a slingbox to his cable, do I have to watch whatever he's watching or can I watch what I want without me interfering with what he wants to watch and without him interfering with what I want to watch? -
I'm interested in that part. What phone service do you use and how do you go about blocking unwanted callers?
-
Are you going to read any of them . . . . ?

Of course it doesn't matter. Bkkguy can be as disappointed as he wants while he is being holier than thou about the "right thing to do," just as if the news item posts here ever caused a problem for anyone. Meanwhile, Bkkguy has been a member of this board and has been posting here for 4 years. Now, all of a sudden here he is with his campaign, having never said a word about it over the last 4 years, and we agreed to change the methods by which quoted items will appear here from now on after he pointed out and brought up the issue. As I said in the thread in which he originally brought this up, you really have to admire a man who won't take 'yes' for an answer.

Now that's an idea. I'd love that! GT, get those wheels spinning on this idea.

Sounds like we're missing some good stories. What happened?

Exactly! I also don't understand why people seem to think I am saying it's best to come to Thailand and then get on the Internet. It's very simple to make arrangements long before coming. And for those already in Thailand for a holiday, if it's a rainy day or you're looking for a daytime hookup, the personals sites can be a good way to spend some time before the bars open for the evening. Another thing to think about - not everyone who comes to Thailand even goes to the cities where the gay bars exist. The personals sites can come in very handy when in other areas.

Everybody is different. I like Bordeaux, but I like Chez Vickie much more. Besides, I can always use another gown . . .

Other than myself, I know only 3 other farang who love Songkran. Are we alone? Anybody else out there besides us enjoy Songkran, especially in Pattaya?
-
Maybe later you'll get another Email from them saying "April fool."

Doesn't anyone get the point? I agree too, but that's an entirely different issue from the one I'm talking about.

As most US citizens know, every ten years a census is done. This year is a census year. I wanted to find out how expats living in Thailand can participate. I called the US embassy. I spoke to the head of American Citizens Services. He said the census applies only to US citizens living within the USA. They do not count US citizens living outside the country. Ok, USA expats . . . we don't count. If only IRS had the same policy . . .

And, as I have already stated on that thread, we'll do it that way from now on.
-
Sad enough? Ohhhhh, now I get it. Unless people do as you would do, then they're sad and not having fun. I'm sure most people here on holiday would do just as you say If it were me, so would I. But if they walk into one of the bars that has already has virtually no customers, where does the 'fun' part come in? Of course, that has nothing to do with the point I'm making. Even you are saying over half the go-go bars would survive. Half? That doesn't sound very promising to me. Are you saying that the Internet does not and will not have significance and the bars have no need to bother to try to compete with it? "You can afford to be optimistic. I can't." - Field Marshal Rommel, 'Patton'
