I have been there many times and trust me stuff does go on.  In the steam room, sauna and in the little room next to the one with the the big marble slab.  If you are still in Istanbul then checkout Davutpaşa Hamamı.  Get a private room, you won't regret it.

It may be touch call this time as I know already I will be very busy at home  for at least two weeks after return. But I'm not saying no

After breakfast, i asked counter if i can checkout a bit late as my flight to phuket is at 4.30pm and they told me i can check out at 1 pm. Had a bit of rest after packing and head to DMK after checking out. 
My companion will be joining me at DMK, taking a flight earlier from Indonesia. When he arrived, he message me and I told him i will arrive at the airport soon. Thanks to free wifi at the airport, its not hard for me to find him. We then go for lunch together at the airport food court upstair, then check in for our flight.
I will be very brief on my report for phuket since we mostly do touristy stuff. My guy is a regular guy ive met many times before back home. He will come 1-2 weeks at a time and ive always had him for overnight. This trip will be our 4th trip together. First two trip was in indonesia, and one trip was within Malaysia. He has a PT gigs back home so it will take some arrangement on his side before he could join me. 
Our Phuket trip will be 4 nights, and we stay at Bang Tao area, which is surprisingly very pleasant area. Our hotel is in the laguna area, and have free shuttle to the mall and beach. 
First day - Not much activity, stocked up in 7/11 and just spend the night at the hotel, sort of reunion. We talked a bit on what to do tomorrow and he also went to check out the gym. 
2nd day - before breakfast, i went to the concierge to see what trips/sightseeing they have. Decided to take their half day city tour that start in the afternoon and ends with visit to the Sunday night market in the Old town phuket. Visited the Wat Chalong, Big Buddha, Khao Rang Hill View Point, Jui Tui Shrine and lastly the Old town phuket for the Sunday market.
Overall, its a good introductory half day trip covering most of the tourist spots and no unwanted visit to farm, tiger/elephant place, nor visit to specialty shops. U can get a great view of the island on top of Big Buddha, but our most memorable place was at Khao Rang hill, where there was a troop of monkeys claim residency there. Towards the end of our visit, one of the monkey were trying to grab the skirt of one of the girl in our group. Luckily, she didnt panic and the monkey did let go. There is also a Harry Potter themed Cafe near the sunday market.
For dinner, we just order grab for dinner. 
3rd day - had our breakfast and get ready for our island tour today. As per recommended by the tour lady, we took the bigger catamaran boat, and our tour will be focusing on phi phi island and surrounding, with lunch buffet there. First stop is Bamboo island where we had time to swim on a very pristine beach. It wasnt too crowded too, so it was very pleasant to swim especially with my hunk on my side.
After lunch at phi phi island, we head to the Pileh Lagoon for long tail boat tour around the towering limestone cliffs, and stop by the side for snorkeling, paddle boat or canoeing. Afterward, we head to the famous Maya Bay. Definitely one of the most beautiful beach, but overcrowded with tourists. No swimming allowed, and all boats now stays on the otherside of the bays. 
On our way back, we stopped at Maiton island, nearer to main phuket island for sunset and bbq dinner. Overall, the tour is definitely the highlight of my phuket trip.
 

You have a good heart. Come back to good health fast , as you know it's very unhealthy to be sick.

I don't have any suggestion but just wanted to say I am jealous that I don't have that kind of energy.  I'd be done after the Arena encounter  🤣

One more thing, if you are checking your bags, even with a 16 hour connection, they may be tagged through to the final destination.  This was the case for me once on a 14 hour connection (that wasn't in BKK though).  You might check with Thai Airways to see what their policy is, you may not need that luggage storage.

Why don't you just book an inexpensive hotel?  The Quarter Silom (right by the Tawan Bar location) is only like $50 a night.  Then you would have a place to take your offs, not to mention be able to get cleaned up before you go back to the airport the next morning.

I want to say that 39 Underground sauna had something like what you described.  If my memory is correct on the top floor there are two patios.  On the smaller of the two patios there is like a ladder that goes up to another level where I think there were some mattresses setup. I didn't go up there because there was plenty of fun stuff going on everywhere else in the building.

On my, they are gorgeous!  I think I will have to finally make my way to Cambodia this year.
