I actually happen to know The Martha personally, very slightly, through 3 common acquaintances. One NYC guy who was her lighting tech on her TV show, a random personal friend I sat around and drank endlessly with. Another who is a history/poli-sci prof at Harvard. & one more. Martha is infinitely more eccentric & interesting & weird than her professional self-presentation would ever suggest.
