I am always embarrassed when I mispell a word in the title of the thread because it is one thing we cannot fix. I have to beg TY or OZ to correct it for me. Maybe they can change that so we can correct those boo-boos.

I know thread the thread is old, but I have a travel bug right now. Places that appeal to me are mostly in Europe- Paris, London theater, Venice, maybe Krakow, or Slovakia, somewhere where time has moved slowly. Copenhagen, but only in the spring. I have traveled a lot in Spain, but would love to do more. Also, closer to home, Mexico, going slowly throughout the countryside, ending at a beach resort after a few days in Mexico City. If I am still alive, I could go to Costa Rica, and then perhaps Colombia. Rio, sure, Buenos Aires, maybe again. Going to Asia, yes, Bangkok again, but then up to Laos and Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I would like to see Shanghai, but I think that is it. Africa does not beckon, even for the wilds of Kenya. The mideast is also of no interest, even Turkey. I can skip Australia, Iceland, the Poles, and anywhere in Russia. But, if I had to stay put, then New York is the place to be. Donations accepted.

The only objections I am aware of are people who post for the sake of posting, adding something even though they know nothing of the topic. I have too heard an objection or two towards those who post insipid comments that also add nothing to the thread. But, if they don't say it to your face, then don't assume it means you.

I studied CharliePS' content going back one full year, and it appears that this is the first thread he has started. So no doubt he feels passionately about the subject. Just as my Yankees blew it, so too did the Phillies. They had Halladay and Cliff Lee, the latter fought hard for by the Yankees. Yet little good he did the Phillies when the prime time came. So it shows that money can't buy everything. I have no desire to watch the Texas Rangers play, and hardly more for the Tigers, despite growing up a Tiger fan. My whole family still is. As for Milwaukee and St.Louis, there's not much interest either. Tony LaRussa bored me a long time ago. One Milwaukee player, upon being interviewed by TV, said "Fuck Yeah," thus endearing himself to parents everywhere. So not much class there. Much has been made of Milwaukee pitcher Zach Greinke. Supposedly the Yankees didn't take him because he has mental problems dealing with the limelight. That's not going to help Milwaukee playing on national TV...unless the theory is bonkers, not the pitcher.

And speaking of folks who have participated here, and made contributions that have kept the site interesting, I enjoy the contributions that EXPAT has made to the site. His picture collection alone is worth a Smithsonian of gay pictures. Perhaps I don't always make my admiration clear, so I wanted to do so here, while I was also complimenting lurkerspeaks on his contributions. He and EXPAT are consistent contributors of high quality threads, and I do appreciate them. Of course others contribute too, but right now these are the guys on my mind.

The Ides of March is a Clooney film based upon the play Farragut North. I saw that at the Mark Taper Forum in LA with Chris Pine playing the role Ryan Gosling has in the film. Having seen the play didn't help me enjoy the movie, as I knew what was coming. The movie is otherwise rather dull, but Gosling is good in it. We had to sit through 25 minutes of previews- I kid you not! The last preview was of an upcoming Clooney film. That didn't help me get past the fact that Clooney was playing a role here. I just saw Clooney the actor, not Morris the politician. I didn't regret seeing the movie, I just wasn't too excited by it.

I just saw The Ides of march, and I must say the crowd was so well behaved that I almost regretted posting this. But, then again, maybe they all had just read it!

Sorry that I did not notice this thread when I wrote my 50/50 movie review. I saw Abduction, Drive, and 50/50 within a week. I plan to see Ides of March despite the tepid reviews. I liked Abduction, although Rotten Tomatoes gave it one of its lowest ratings ever. It wasn't Oscar material, but enjoyable, especially for a gay man who likes Taylor Lautner, the now of age movie stud. Drive was a better movie, but Ryan Gosling has less sex appeal (for me) than does Taylor. It was also rather gory. And I have written on 50/50 so you already know that I liked it.

But we all know that your dick is only 8 inches!
