  1. I have vouchers, or coupons from both Delta and United. The Delta vouchers, $100 and $50, were given to compensate significant problems I endured with one of their flights. The United coupon came as a bonus for signing up for their credit card. Guess what? All of the coupons are virtually worthless, which is to say, they don't apply on any of the flights I tried them out on. Sure, if you want to fly to Podunk at 2 am, you might be able to use one. And that's it. So, when the airline is offering you that voucher for giving up your seat, read the fine print, twice!
  2. This IMPORTANT NOTICE was posted a week ago. Nothing has come of it since then, Why is that? Has no one lost any weight? has no one any technical issues? Is no one so ornery that they cannot create a thread destined for the sandbox? C'mon guys, at least lose some weight!
  3. I don't think hotels should offer a benefit like that.
  4. We were glad to have you attend. I noticed that you were very popular, receiving a nice ovation when introduced at the restaurant last night. Who was that guy in the kilt that you were chatting up? I think AJ was in the hearts of many of the guys there, if not all! But it was great to see all of the escorts there.
  5. Truly. Who are these guys who win when no one has heard of them? No one, well, me. Arpad Miklos is a name I have seen before, but that's it. Rumor has it that the guys who win the Hookies are the ones willing to show up for the event. Don't know if that is true.
  6. He wasn't showing either as Mr. Locke appeared without any legend in his company. This after rumors had abounded about which Hollywood star he would bring. But we enjoyed Mr. Locke's presence, and the guest he did bring was a very fine fellow. I had hoped that Scott Adler would come this year, but he didn't. Kristian did not make it either. Nonetheless, there were 11 escorts in attendance at Oliver's pool event today. The weather had cooled off but it didn't dampen the fun. The venue for the dinner last night received unanimous praise. It's hard to see the Weekend end as we had looked forward to it for so long. This year was very enjoyable, maybe more so for me since I had less duties to tend to. But it sure was nice to hear over and over again what a great time people were having. Jason Carter's dinner tonight brings the Weekend to a close with some great memories and some really nice times. You might not realize what great guys you post with until an event like this. My many thanks to Oliver for bringing everything together in such a fine fashion.

    Airfares

I am in shock as I look at airfares for different travel times this spring and summer. Last year I flew to New York for as low as $230, but this year that is peanuts. Flights are $400 and up, sometimes more than $700. San Francisco is no longer a cheap destination for me either. Luckily I got two seats to Rio later this summer using frequent flier miles- 40,000 each. Consider that I used 120,000 miles to go to Thailand in coach, and 32,500 to go to Vancouver. Delta long ago stopped offering frequent flier tickets at the "saver" level. But United was great for finding a seat at 25,000 miles until just recently, when they went to 50,000 miles for just about any ticket. So if you want to go anywhere, book now before it gets worse. And take me with you!
  8. Yeah, he stayed away from Lucky all day!
  9. Well, Oliver and Epigonos did all the legwork this year on the restaurant. I sort of paved the way for them last year. Many of the guys are already in town. Don't you think the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce should give us a plaque or something?
  10. But I can try!
  11. Well, I had to read about it on another website, but I did learn that today is CharliePS' birthday. I guess I should have known since he told me just yesterday, but being now in the senior moment section of life, I need reminders! So happy birthday, Charlie. I hope it is a great one and that you will be given many well-wishes.
  12. In its 11th season, the American Idol show came to an abrupt end Thursday night. Contestant Stefano Langone, shown here: ...suddenly dropped his trousers as he was on center stage, at first showing a delectable bubble butt, then suddenly turning to reveal a strong erection. The crowd went wild, Ryan Seacrest fainted, and the stomping, cheering crowd called for Stefano to be named season winner by acclamation. It was an Idol first as last season's runner-up, Adam Lambert, rushed onstage and deep-throated Langone without once gagging. By this time, Seacrest had revived, but upon seeing the oral copulation promptly fainted again. Idol judge Randy Jackson said that the dawg had the best cock he had ever seen, whereupon Steven Tyler whipped his out, and then Jennifer revealed that she is a hermaphrodite...and I should have quit at the picture!
  13. Yeah, sure. I'm lookin to sign up any day now. Then again, lookin is thinking positively amongst all the negativity...

    Baseball So Soon?

After a considerable time playing with his balls, Grady will take the diamond on Sunday if all goes as expected. As this Times article shows, Grady doesn't play much with his multiple injuries, but when he does, he plays well: Sizemore To Play You can see Grady's balls right under the mug:
  15. Aaron Tobey, a student protesting...oh, who cares what he is protesting! Here's his picture: But, if you really care what he has to say, and I do, of course, here it is: Aaron's Message And more of Aaron: Not every news organization would show his message, so they settled for his mug shot: (In case you didn't read the article, he stripped in protest last December. After 90 minutes in custody, he was released. He is now suing for $250,000 for the violation of his rights. He did make his flight that day.)
  16. If Glenn Beck says that building multiple nuclear reactors in earthquake territory is stupid, then I will agree with him. If he thinks earthquakes are nature's response to a political situation, well, I don't think a comparison of me to him would be appropriate! On the other hand...a satellite photo just released shows...
  17. Every day I have something new to worry about. Right now it's a torn ligament in my back. Just as soon as I think it is getting better, I move the wrong way and am back to square one. Also, yesterday I noted that people were beating up on me for a comment I made in a newspaper comment section. Turns out I had made a huge mistake without realizing it. (Got the person confused with another.) Life is tough. But if you were referring to world events, that's what my raining frogs thread was about. If it was about anything. We do live in interesting times, perhaps the most interesting in all of history. If the mideast explosion continues, gas prices skyrocket, the Japanese economy falters, and Obama's birth certificate gets lost, well, then, all bets are off. I gotta say though that I find it all quite depressing. We've just been through a tough recession, and now may face worse. The easy taking of lives in Japan only reinforces my worry that we are all alone here, at the mercy of nature, who seems really pissed at us.
  18. Did not all of the recent turmoil begin in Egypt? No, you're right- we did take Iraq... Deuteronomy 4:29-39 (King James Version)...For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as the seas turn black and feel like mud, and all will know the wrath and atonement of their sins? Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him. Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire. And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt; to drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day. Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. Wikipedia: While some who believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible insist that the prediction of dates or times is futile, some other writers believe that Jesus foretold of signs which would indicate that the "end of days" was near. Some of these signs include earthquakes, natural disasters, civil problems, "wars and rumors of wars," and other catastrophes. Of the precise time, however, it will come like a "thief in the night" (1 Thess. 5:2). Who knows? Ask a Mayan what he thinks!
  19. Thailand loves its transexuals, and towleroad.com has the clip from Thailand's Got Talent where a beautiful girl starts singing, only to turn into a male singer at 1:04 in the song. The audience loved it: Oh Pretty WoMAN
  20. hehe, welcome back, Adam Smith. I have noticed that you were not posting this month so glad to see you back.

    America's Shame

Just when I was starting to think that Obama might not be so bad after all, he revives Guantanomo and endorses the action against Bradley Manning. I can't believe that Obama is a liberal at heart. But with the Republicans failing so far to come up with a credible candidate, it looks like we have Obama until 2016. He sure pulled the wool over the eyes of so many longing for a change after Bush.
  22. Sorry, but I can neither confirm nor deny !
  23. Zip, there was a reason I didn't cite a source. Top secret CIA wiretap.
  24. Allessio77, welcome to the boards. I look forward to more posts from you. As for the boy, do anyone of us remember anything that happened to us at the age of 3? How would he know who Samson was at that age? Just think of all of these people coming up to greet him in heaven. No Virgin Mary, no Holy Spirit...definitely not a Catholic visit! I think this is all the work of his minister father, which would make him a sinister father. Money, money. Who is immune?
