  1. Having a local friend turns out to be a great experience. Tmuch about how life is like in Brazil, couldn't care less about missing the sauna visit on a Saturday night. Brazilians are so warm and kind among close friends, heart-warming to see.

Wonderful first week in São Paulo, even though haven't got around to hit Lagoa yet, and fragata is somewhat lackluster, had my best time ever because of the local connections.

Aside from the sauna scenes, I have always been enriched when with locals and participate in their activities. This is what I experienced when I visited Salvador {Bahia} Brasil. ...my guide took me on my own planned tours; he also invited me to join friends at a special party. What an eye opener in terms of how the Brasilians, as a whole, tend to party and socialize!

  2. Thank you all for the replies. They are very helpful. Besides those useful words, I guess i will bring my smartphone as well.It requires network for speech input. But it can translate and talk offline.

In spite of your "trust component"-- make sure that all valuables are "out of sight" when you have guests in your hotel room or in your apartment. That even means expensive cologne if you wear it. Advice given to us/me previously!

  3. Well the guy is great. But as i saw on mentiones site and gayromeo

expectacions for money from internet guys are completely different

Than from garotos in saunas and semiprofecionals that you may find

    around.

    Anyone with different experience ?

Yes, I have had some different experiences from what you mentioned in the material above. During the mid 2000s, I hired escorts from agencies which were then at http://www.netgay.com.br. All of my experiences were pleasing and quite satisfactory.

In 2008 a friend of mine who could speak some Brasilian Portuguese or some Espanol hired for me from an ad at the site mentioned. The guy was half Italian and Brasilian and gave me a truly, truly memorable time inside of my hotel room. I gave him his fee along with a tip. Afterwards, he and I walked to the beach to meet his Italian amigo. I met his friend and stayed for a while to converse; the escort left us. During our conversation the Italian guy told me that the escort felt bad because he did not have change to return to me; he did not know that I had given him the additional R$s for a tip. He was soooooooooooo damn good!

When I was in Rome in 2010, I saw the same guy after requesting my female tour representative to contact him. , but the time that he showed me was NOT as stellar as the one to which he'd given me in Rio de janeiro]. All in all I'll remember this beauty and gorgeously hung chap who knew how to please one who'd been "slightly starved!" ^_^^_^^_^

  4. In addition to what my fellow posters presented, I'd like to suggest that you visit http://www.daddysreviews.com, join for free and go to the Latin America or related forum. Trilingual gave some salient advice for first time visitors a while, while back. It still appears relevant and useful, too!

I'd like to add that many of the sauna guys will approach you and ask if it is your first visit and from where do you come? The guys, more than likely, will ask if you'd like a massage. After my fifth or sixth visit-- I have smiled upon hearing this "script!" But that does NOT mean that I have not disrespected the guys or have NOT gone with the one or ones of which I've found interest!

Go and enjoy and remember always to allow your "BIG HEAD" to do the thinking for you!

Read! Read! Read! and then Use! Use! Use! After your adventures please report back here. I, for one, always enjoy reading the travel experiences of one!

  5. Earlier today while I was perusing my FaceBOOK miscellany, I ran across Raphael A, an escort in New York City, heavenly and heavily endowed and porn icon. In it he included a site in Brasil which has some gorgeous garotos and their ads listed. If any of you who travel to Brasil and who prefer to see garotos in the saunas as well as outside, here's a great website: http://www.garotolandia.com.br.

If any of you manage to book any guy or guys from the various cities, I'd highly encourage you to write about your experiences as well as present a review or reviews.

In 2002 I first began journeying to Brasil. Since that time I've been fortunate as well as lucky to have visited some 11Xs, the last time being in 2011. During a few of those years, when I've had guides and when there have been ads from escort sites on the web-- I've hired from them and had wonderful experiences each time. I used http://www.netgay.com.brfor my source which listed the agencies. Today they are defunct; this site has individual escorts/garotos advertising independently!

Well, guys, consult and do what is best for you! ^_^

  6. Hi, Trzinko, I got what you mean, the Brazilian smile and kiss

I felt pretty safe in the club as well.

A wonderful session to end the RIO leg of my trip. Yeeeepppp!

It's always rewarding to conclude one's stay as you cited in your last post from Rio. Enjoy Sao Paulo. Our likes are just the reverse: I prefer Rio to SAMPA while you, on the other hand, like that city which during the early 2000s was the third largest in area. That "all good!"

Sao Paulo is too, too large for me; thus I've never taken public transit but have depended on taxis which do become expensive after a while. [Have had some wonderful gay guides in this city and some pretty good sex as well while staying in that once, great apartmento hotel which was located two blocks from Paulista Avenida.

At any rate, enjoy the Paulistas! I'll,await your inviting posts from there when you get the opportunity to write here!!!!!!!:smile:

  7. Finally it's that time of the year again. Waiting for my flight to Rio for my 4th trip to South America. Other than a few small hikes, this will be a more narrowly focused trip for me.

I have a bias for São Paulo and POA over Rio, but the flight to Rio turns out to be cheaper, and I do want to do a couple hikes like Pedra Bonita. An apt on the next street to 117 is availble for a little over 200R a night on booking.com, so I decided to hit Rio for 6 nights before heading to São Paulo.

Anyone cares to share your opinion on the best nights in Rio between 117 and MM? Seems we had quite a few lucky members visited Rio recently. Much appreciated. I am into twinks type.

Can't wait to take off

There are recent accounts here of the best nights at the saunas in Rio. Do a mere check of the archived material, which is more recent than ancient!

  8. This is marvelous; it's a great step to have been taken. But guess what? As one who abhors smelling cigarette and/or cigar and other tobacco smoke, strangely enough I was never bothered by it while I was in various parts of Brasil from 2002 through 2011. I do not know what it was but am grateful and elated that smoking did not hinder my cultural and play experiences!

Again, I am elated that this move was made; it's better for all!!

[My next trip to "MOTHER BRASIL" has been tentatively planned during 2016 after the Olympics!]

  9. I like your post and will address the first question. The best months are latter November through early February. My last visit to Thailand was in December through mid January, and the weather was supreme.

...will share my experiences/suggestions regarding queries 2 - 4 later. ...have been to the "Land of Smiles" 3Xs and to all 3 cities along with Chaing Mai and Rai!

Sois 2 3 and 4 are the areas for action. Sorry I can't be more specific. As for hotels I only recommend one, The TARTAWAN which allows guests. I found the price to be quite reasonable, and the areas for play are within walking distance from this hotel. Have stayed in two others; one I'd highly recommend, but I do think its guest policy is rigid; there are doormen guarding the doors during the evening; I got a guy in there without any problems, but we entered via a side door; the guard who saw us did not say anything, and the hotel is The Montien, not the one located by the river.

I think others who've traveled there a lot, who currently live there, can help you much more than I. I would recommend that you join www.daddysreviews,com and read what's in the archives regarding the three cities of which you show interest.

Lastly, my memory is not the best anymore, so I'm unable to cite specifics regarding Phuket and Pattaya; ...have been once to the former and three times to the latter. On my last visit to Pattaya, I stayed in a room in an ex pat's house. Did not like the location at all.

Do a google check of http://www.gayasia.com and/or http://www.gaythailand.com. See what comes up. There are some gay sites for the cities of your interest, but again, I am unable to remember them. There's one called Purple something!

  10. Although I am familiar with Brasil, I'm planning to travel to Bangkok this fall and have a few questions:

1.) Best month to travel to Thailand?

2.) If interested in staying near the "boy action" in Bangkok, can someone suggest accommodations and in what neighborhood would that be? I'd like to take boys back to the hotel, and would prefer as few problems as possible.

3.) What is Babylon (the hotel / bath house) all about? Who stays there?

4.) What is there to expect when visiting Phuket and Pattaya? How is the nightlife / boy-life different or the same when compared to Bangkok?

    Thanks guys.

  11. I met him two years ago thru a friend of his who was a bar manger at the sauna. He spent 6 months a year ago as a exchange student in China, and speaks Mandarin and English.. the combination of good looks, intelligence and really nice personality makes him for me a ideal companion. His only fault that I have found so far and it's one that seems to be found in virtually all Brazilerios is he is constantly late! but I know this, and have adjusted! :-) I arrived the last two trips on Thursday and was supposed to meet him at 8:00 pm at the hotel and go to dinner, but I went to Mezziniu at 5:00 and was still there at 8:00 when I get a text from him saying "I am just heading to the gym for a workout, will see you at the hotel at 10:00, at 10:00 I went to Bar Mixx, at 11:15 I get a text saying "I am on my way" lol I got back to the hotel at midnight and he was in the shower when I got to the room! So instead of going to a restaurant we ordered room service! He would be great BF material for someone!!

I'm elated that you have rebounded health-wise and are able to return to your most favorite country and some of its cities! I applaud you and hope that this will continue for you, for I know you cherish traveling to "The Marvelous City," SAMPA, and to PA!! ^_^

  12. Trzinko, that is a pic of the law student. Here's a photo of him in front of the hotel as he was waiting for his car to go to work and I was heading to the airport.

He's simply gorgeous! Do you know that Brasil has lots and lots of lawyers and many, many, many cases yet to be heard/tried!

Supposedly, they get paid well, too! Heard this bit of info. on NPR about three weeks ago!

  13. I am a little puzzled - I can't tell what this has to do with the subject of this thread. Maybe it is posted in the wrong place?

Back to the subject matter and the stronger dollar, the Brazilian real closed today at 255 - 1.

With luck, the trend of the stronger dollar (or Euro or Pound - etc) will continue.

If one doesn't want to spend a little fortune in traveling to Brasil, then I'd recommend Argentina. That's what my post was intended to convey. [i've traveled to Brasil 11Xs since 2002; it's still my favorite country, followed by Argentina!]

  14. I like both Argentina and Brasil. The former has always been great in terms of currency [dollar vs peso]. Unfortunately, the country is going through financial woes now. Fly down and enjoy greatly but cheaply. I have two legit guides [gay] if you're interested; one is an ex pat; the other is a local porteno who is on TripAdvisor along with having his own small site on the web.

The guys, for the most part, are handsome, hot and very hung! I have been to Buenos Aires five times since 2005 and to various parts of Brasil 11Xs since 2002. Websites to check out are: http://www.ratonesonline.comand http://www.soytuyo.com.

The guys I saw are no longer "scorting," but there are others who took their place! BsAs is superb for its culture, food, leather goods, lodging [apartments] too!
