I agree with your assessment of the poor level of English here, especially when you venture out of Prague. You would expect kids raised after the fall of communism, such as most of the working boys that I see, to be fluent in English. Well, you're in for a big surprise: very few of them go beyond very, very basic knowedge of the language. It has been explained to me that the problem squarely lies in the lack of competent teachers. One must remember that up to 25 years ago, English was "the language of the enemy", and the generation that should be teaching it in schools nowadays never had a chance to learn it. Now, don't think that you will be much luckier with German. You do find older people who learned German, Russian and, surprisingly, Spanish, and they can teach those languages, but German is not popular among kids. This country has had a difficult history with Germany, and, with the blessing of the US, the UK, the USSR and France, German minorities were expelled after World War Ii. And Russian, well, they would rather forget that they once spoke it. On the other hand, there are several bilingual Spanish-Czech high schools, and I have been surprised by the proficiency of many teenagers in my language. Furthermore, Czechs are extremely proud of their language and boast about its difficulty (they are right about this point!). They even translate computer lingo in Czech.... I also agree that Google translate is very far from perfect, but it does give you an idea. With a little creativity, you manage to make sense and understand. Believe me, it has helped me a lot to grasp quite a bit!

Please be aware that some Prague boys are beginning to follow this forum and this thread in particular....Word spreads quickly. Their English can be very basic, but ther's always Google translator. Just saying.

It is accessible by metro, apparently close to one of the last stations of line C. According to the metro website (www.dpp.cz), the trip from Wenceslas Square (station Muzeum) should take 12 minutes. Now, I don't know how far from the station the place actually is, and one should be aware that metro service ends at around midnight. I agree that it is off the beaten path and, for a newcomer to Prague, it can seem somewhat adventurous. I have never been there myself, and therefore cannot tell if it is worth it...

I hope you get to see Velvety and, at the risk of sounding like I am pimping him ???? ????, I once again recommend Carl Ross, who has appeared in several Bel Ami and Staxus clips under that name, and in William Higgins videos as Ivan Mraz. He is beautiful, an excellent kisser and very very hot in bed. Very sweet kid, whose English is unfortunately less than rudimentary His rate is 3000 Czech. Taxis are generally safe, although the drivers often take advantage of foreigners and try to overcharge. They rarely speak something other than Czech. It is true that it is somehow difficult to get them on the street, not because it is unsafe, but because they simply do not stop to take fares that way. Big difference with NYC! There are two companies that I recommend: AAA (phone number 14 014) and Tick Tack (14 222). The latter is quite recent, has nice brand new cars and drivers that speak English. The problem is that it has been a victim of its own success, and many times it does not have available vehicles on short notice.

They rarely (if ever) quote in crowns, Cany. You have to ask them specifically....The rates they quoted to you in euros (90-100) seem quite reasonable, though. Beware of the agents / pimps of "Bel Ami boys". They are very unreliable. The boy they send you is frequently not the one you asked for, and the kid that shows up is generally very lousy in bed, since many of them are straight, gay for pay. Of course, Czech boys are very sexual and uninhibited, so they can perform quite convincingly with another gorgeous boy, but not so with normal clients like me (not a troll but not an Abercrombie model either...) I had a bad experience when I first arrived in Prague: I wanted to meet Carl Ross, and "Lukáš" showed up instead. Beautiful twink, but lousy kisser and cold as a fish. As for rates, I have commented here that the going price for an hour is between 2500 and 3000 Czech crowns (around US$110-125) If you ask them, they will most likely quote their fee in euros (120-150), which, at the current exchaange rate, is from 3200 to 4000 crowns. Insist on Czech crowns, and they will go to 3000. Of the boys you mention, I only know Stefan94, and I regret to say that I had a very disappointing session with him. He is definitely a cute kid, with a nice smooth body, who now looks more mature than his pictures suggest. He is however a reluctant kisser (rwo thumbs down for me), and not very responsive in bed.
