The general story is simple. The FBI finally gets tired of the Westboro Baptist Church (The "God Hates Fags" people) and a very violent armed standoff ensues. But, there are deeper themes about the meaning of faith, the role of government in our lives and how faith can be distorted. It's a fast violent film, but also a thoughtful one. John Goodman gives the performance of his career as an FBI agent who has his faith in his superior officers severely tested. The best scene in the movie is when he asks the Special Agent In Charge why he let the slaughter happen and the SAC responds "Why? Because fuck these types of people. That's why." Anyway it's a very pro gay rights film and it would help Smith convince movie theaters to show it (many of whom are afraid to because they are worried that crazy Christians will picket their theaters if they do) if word of mouth on sites you post to or blogs you write on start talking about it. So, yeah, do Kevin a favor and watch the film and then find someway to tell someone about it.
