trencherman reacted to tassojunior in God creates Canada and AustraliaHe says to Canadians “You will have the best land ever. It is beautiful, in the summer it is warm and in the winter it snows beautiful snow flakes. It is called Canada. You will have prosperity and food for all your days.”
He then gets the Australians, and says to them “I give to you Australia. You are isolated, and the land is a desert. You will work every day and will get very little in return. It will be harsh, but you will be hardened by it. You will find it hard, but you will call it home.”
The Australians reply “This is so unfair, why do the Canadians get good land and prosperity and we only get the harsh land, the scraps!?”
He replies “They do. But I didn’t tell the Canadians about their neighbours.”

I think LG is the tip of the icebergs. Rumors abound re Mitch and Josh Hawley plus some Republican congressmen.

Southern political wisdom: "Never get caught in bed with a dead hooker or a live boy."

Around the time most South Carolinians were sitting down to their evening meals on Thursday night, a gay porn star by the name of Sean Harding fired off a tweet that set tongues-a-wagging across the Palmetto State (and in the nation’s capital).
“There is a homophobic republican senator who is no better than (Donald Trump) who keeps passing legislation that is damaging to the LGBT and minority communities,” Harding tweeted. “Every sex worker I know has been hired by this man. Wondering if enough of us spoke out if that could get him out of office?”
Wait … what?
“I cannot do this alone,” Harding added in a follow-up tweet. “If you’d be willing to stand with me against LG please let me know.”
Hold up … LG?

One major fucking Republican asshole out, 196 to go.
I'm doing everything humanly possible to see Republican legislators feel some serious pain this November. They deserve a ton of pain for not only elevating Trumpism in America, but for having their tongues stuck up his ass for the past three years.
This class of morons deserve SERIOUS PAIN.

Most useful language I ever acquired after English. Polished it with subsequent visits. Motivated myself with “sex needs language.”
Now that there is free Duolingo, it will probably be just as effective. I finished Duolingo’s Chinese course in a year but Chinese is a literate language, meaning,
you need to be able to read it by memorizing a couple thousand characters. Same motivation.

Is an article on PBS that speaks to what I think is one of the most dangerous phenomenons in our contemporary life. The Internet has empowered everybody to be able to express an opinion, so now vast swaths of the world want to replace actual knowledge with their fact free opinions.
Moron culture thrives cause everybody is entitled to their opinion, right? Never mind that people think the right to that opinion means they have the right to be respected for whatever idiocy they've espoused.
Being locked in the house all day watching so many of my fellow Americans demonstrate their stunning idiocy has not been that good for my mental health.

Youtube and pinterest are full of exercise routines to relieve sciatic pain. I found one from a Korean channel which actually got rid of the pain. As the lock down progressed, I started doing the channel’s specialty, no equipment necessary routines for my daily workout. I start with this:

trencherman reacted to TotallyOz in Just making sure everybody is OK....Things in Thailand are pretty good. We still have plenty of food and the ability to get what we need. However, there is a curfew at night and between provinces. I do not think the gov't is reporting the right numbers as hospitals will not take non-covid19 patients unless an emergency. That said, I have no desire to go to a hospital to check. Thailand is very self-sufficient in that it produces most of its own food and other good. They don't really need the outside world a great deal. But, we will see if I am wrong. I did stock up on things that I thought would get blocked from coming into the country like American protein bars, Nespresso Coffee, etc. but have not needed to stock up on much else. All non-essential businesses are closed. Schools are closed for the rest of this academic year. I believe the curfew will move from night only to all day if number of cases increase. Hotels are closed for the most part. Fine of 40,000 thb if you are caught out during curfew. That is 2-3 months salary for most Thais. That is where I am. I am OK mentally, physically and emotionally. I keep myself active daily on a stationary bike in my apartment, read a lot, taking some online classes to strengthen my mind, cook all my own food in bulk and freeze it for the future, talk to family in America daily, and just stay inside. I am healthy and stable but sad to see the world turning inside out. Others?

Everyone deserves a good lawyer. I don't fault anyone for looking for good legal counsel. And, I can't name many high profile attorneys that are in the business for helping others only. It is a business, and they are there to make money. I have seen of recent a law professor get ousted from a job because he represented a scumbag. Everyone deserves good council. I hope we don't get to the point where doctors are told they are horrible for teaching a sleaze patient.

trencherman reacted to RockHardNYC in Gloria Allred and daughter Lisa Bloom: scummiest of scum bags?I guess it was just a matter of time.
Gloria Allred accused of advising Weinstein accuser to stay silent
Women's rights attorneys? Give me a break. It's high time Allred and daughter Bloom were exposed for the money-grubbing thieves that they are, taking full advantage of their female clients when the money to silence them far outweighed any justice.
"Bloom, who has since said that she’s “mortified” about having worked with Weinstein"
I'll bet this phony bitch was mortified. Mortified that she got caught in a flagrant two-faced, money-scheming operation to defraud vulnerable women. Mortified that the female media gatekeepers who once showered them with attention might not ever open those free publicity doors again. If I see these two women on TV in the future, speaking on behalf of women's issues, I will write the TV producers and express my outrage.
Unethical lawyers who get rich by fucking over their clients deserve to have their businesses destroyed. No more free publicity. Media darlings no more!

trencherman reacted to RockHardNYC in Gloria Allred and daughter Lisa Bloom: scummiest of scum bags? The way they made money off of Harvey Weinstein's victims is a scandal story of its own. Can't wait to see how many female TV anchors rush to have them as guests on their shows now.
David Boies, who championed gay marriage and Al Gore before the Supreme Court, served as Weinstein’s personal consigliere and worked to squash threats and bad press.
If you want the truth, it is often said, "Follow the money." Weinstein's money sure impacted some very famous people who pose in public as righteous, humanitarian leaders. Stomach sickening disgrace.
Susan Faludi's book review is scandalous enough. I can only imagine all the details that are chronicled in, “She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement.” Sounds like a worthwhile read if your stomach can handle some awful truths.

trencherman reacted to BlkSuperman in NON-SEXUAL FUN in RioI know some of you noticed who's writing this post and are probably thinking, "what does this sex crazed tramp know about any non-sexual activities happening in Rio when all he does is get pounded out 24/7 on every trip he takes?" Well, the answer to your question is, "I only get pounded out 22/7 (smile) when I take these trips. The other 2 hours I use to explore these beautiful travel destinations."
Let's start with my favorite place to eat breakfast in ipanema. The place is GRINGO CAFE. The owner is an ex-pat from California. His name is Sam. He is the nicest guy and very helpful to Americans who may need assistance while in Rio.
I met him new years eve and he spoke about falling in love with Rio and deciding to make the permanent move there and open up his restaurant. The food, especially the breakfast, is great. His desserts are addicting. When I say desserts, I mean cheesecake, red velvet cake and other goodies he has at his restaurant.
Before my hubby and I took our 12 day trip over to Rio we reached out to Sam because we wanted to find a gym to workout at while we were in Rio. I hit Sam up on FB and he responded within a day and asked that I contact him on whatsapp.
Sam is such a helpful guy. Within 2 days He told us to go to smartfit and buy a $6 day pass to gain access to the gym. There is a kiosk at the front door of the gym and all we needed to do was use our credit card and we could workout.
Smartfit is all over Rio and they all have the same kiosk and for $6 a day you can workout, cruise all the sexy beautiful men and peek at the guys who are busy on their cell phones tending to their grindr messages. SCRUFF is also a VERY POPULAR app in rio. I actually saw a billboard advertisement for scruff in ipanema.
Rio also Has the orange itau bicycles all over the place. Omg..I love renting these bikes and exploring ipanema and copacabana. What I found out about the bikes on my last trip is, if you rent a bike from station 1, you DONT HAVE TO return it to station 1. You can return return the bike to station 5, 6, 7, 10, 100.
To rent the bikes, go to the bike stand where the bikes are stationed, touch the screen at the stand, press the English option and follow the simple instructions. At that time, you can rent up to 4 bikes (depending on how many people are riding with you) for a small fee. It's very inexpensice.
They will flash a code on the screen. I snapped a picture of the code just in case we forgot. My husband and I Input our code and took our bikes.
We walked out of our apartment one afternoon, took an uber to the SHOPPING RIO SUL MALL. instead of going Into the mall, we found a bike stand and rented 2 bikes for the hour. If you go over the houR they will charge you extra but we didnt care. The bike ride was VERY NICE and we had a shit load of fun.
We rode the bikes in front of sugarloaf mountain. The views were breathtaking. We stopped along the way and took pictures. I'm so happy we decided to do the bike ride because we saw so many interesting parts of Rio that we probably would have never seen because we are always in uber speeding past these various sites.
Along the bike route were beautiful greenery, picturesque views of the mountains and beautiful water. I know I said this post was going to be non sexual, but the half naked men along the bike route made this ride even more interesting.
The men there are just so beautiful. And they love showing off their sexy bodies and I love looking at their bodies and dick prints. Half of them dont wear underwear and are so carefree about not wearing any.
About 15 minutes into our bike ride, we saw a man climbing a tall tree for coconuts, found a soccer field where some of the most gorgeous guys were playing their favorite sport. We also found a skate board park with ramps and beautiful brazalian men with no shirts having a ball doing tricks on their boards.
This saturday bike ride made me fall deeper in love with Rio. We rode through tunnels and on pedestrian bridges to get back and forth to either side of the street. We were out for a good hour and fifteen minutes enjoying the cool weather and taking in all the beautiful scenery.
After our bike ride we went to SHOPPING RIO SUL mall. It's a huge mall with lots and lots and lots of stores and a HUGE FOOD COURT. We decided to eat at the food court and walk this massive mall.
The next day, Sunday, we took an uber to cinelandia. I told my hubby that I wanted to take the street tram to see more of Rio. In order to ride the tram you need to use your debit card to buy a tram card. The tram is very clean and modern.
We sat on the tram and rode through downtown Rio taking in all the sites. We jumped off one train line and got on another to see as much as we could. The tram is the most inexpensive, relaxing way to see downtown Rio for about $10US pp.
The tram takes you through business loops, residential neighborhoods and other areas of interest. There are about 3 or 4 train lines so make sure you get there around 11 in the morning if you want to get a full day of exploring In. The tram ride is amazing. You can get on and off if you like. Just dont lose your card or you will have to buy another.
If you need to exchange money in copacabana go to BLAME IT ON RIO travel. The owner is Bobby. Hes an ex-pat from Florida. Bobby is so sweet. He opened a thriving business in Rio that does money exchange, countless tours and he even has a laundry mat to wash clothes. He actually gives the best exchange rates in copacabana. Bobby also likes Snyders pretzels so If you go, take him a bag and tell him, "Coach sent you."
If anyone knows of anymore placew of interest to add, please share for the newbies and also some of us who may have gone to Rio, but not ventured off the beaten path.

trencherman got a reaction from AdamSmith in Diabetic DietThis is the exact position I have taken regarding medicine as a whole. My doctor prescribed me 50 mg of a high blood pressure drug, I started researching this particular drug as soon as I got home and one of the sites I trust cited a study that 10 mg of this medicine is the optimal dose. I therefore quartered the tiny pill and took approximately 12 mg and it worked for me. Seems a dangerous step for most ailments, but I have been doing this for the last four years without telling my doctor.
For T2 diabetes in particular, a safe stance to take is to view it as effectively carbohydrates intolerance, so avoid ingesting carbohydrates. To reverse your T2 diabetes, watch Dr. Jason Fung's clips on Youtube. He is a kidney specialist disgusted by the kidney failures he had to deal with in people on long term diabetes medication.
