So many thanks to AS and Expat for the links and posts. The sadness just won't go away, so I think I will pour myself a little cognac, dim the lights a little, lay back and enjoy the memories for awhile. Damn life is short.

I'm new here, and as such I don't know who anyone is or how long they have been posting. I don't the history of each poster, and why they do or do not like each other, or who has come here with an ax to grind, but I do know that what happened last night was perplexing. I did wonder if this site had any active moderators, and why a warning, at the very least, had not gone out. Perhaps more members will look at this and realize that it hurts everyone. Obviously there is a lot going on that I don't understand, but for now I think I will just keep my distance.

Well said sir. I will say that I lived there for years, still maintain the property, so I have been poolside in August on more than one occasion. You are correct, It is different and yet it is desirable. I do hope that you realize my comment was more tongue in cheek. The best to you in your travels, and I will anxiously await your report.

Great photographs wayout. I will not soon forget his contributions, the way he made me laugh, the shear brilliance of his mind, from Mrs.Doubtfire and Good Will Hunting, he showed a range that few can match. I am so completely shocked. How does someone decide that life is not the better option. May peace be with him and his loved ones.
