I remember going to ContraManos, just a regular bar, at midnight and the bartenders looking at me like I was crazy. They told me no one really comes out for an hour or two. So I went to dinner at midnight, as seems to be the custom in BA, returned at 2am, and there were a few people there. When I left at 4am it was starting to get crowded. The nightclubs are even later. I'm used to the midnight dinner thing from Paris and some clubs there are late ones but there are also early ones and even the late ones are busy by 1am. Buenos Aires takes it to a whole new level. And then at 7am from my hotel window I could see thousands and thousands of people coming into the train station for their office jobs. Amazing.

In Colombia Bogota and Medellin have almost no blacks while they are the vast majority on Colombia's Caribbean coast around Cartagena. There are direct flights there from the US cheap and many gay bars and hotels.

One huge thing I remember about Buenos Aires is that the bars didn't really have people until midnight and few clubs opened before 2am. Latest city I've ever been to. I guess this is widespread in Argentina.

During this period like so many gay men I go to Fort Lauderdale a lot. It's still low season and the hotels are still cheap. From WAS airfares are often $50 each way and it's only 2 hours nonstop. There are many nonstops and several from DCA. From BWI Spirit very often has $20 fares nonstop. I've flown them all pretty much. Several times. In DC FtL is just part of being gay. A rental car is better than Uber and rentals are also cheap. There are 3 gay strip clubs with private rooms totaling over 100 guys between them. There is an over-supply in Miami/FtL on Rentmen as so many working guys like to be there. In FtL Spanish is not as prevalent as in Miami but still very common. If you get a car a 1 or 2 day drive to Key West is a treat with it's many gay clubs including the Bourbon Pub with it's lapdance boys, pool and hotel. KW hotels are not cheap. There are also a wide assortment of small gay beach view hotels in FtL if you like that. I also go to Prague at Christmas to see my guys. It's cold but Europe is amazing at Christmas with it's Christmas markets. Very festive.

In California with its large Asian population there are several escorts with a "no Asians" policy.Just today there was discussion on the other site of one who refuses Asians. (Steve Wentworth,??). You really don't have to pay to be friends with most of these guys. It's not like prostitutes have scores of friends (tho they tend to have more gf's than expected). Especially if you help them with their business they appreciate it and you have a common interest. I'm surprised they have that much free time though. My own preference is hanging out with one not multiples, otherwise they are hanging out together at my place instead of with me.
