I am in Rio! I arrived yesterday. I am planning not to share as much on this trip, but the weather demolished my expectations. This morning it was so bad that the water falling noise woke me up at 7 am. The flights were good, United from DC to SP, and then LATAM to Rio. The staff in SP was terrific. I flew in Economy Plus for the long flight and was surprised to find the plane semi-full. This is the first time I can have two seats for myself in a couple of years. I prefer American's similar class. The legroom was the same, I think, but the food service is better in American. I was expecting a mask mandate in Brazil, but almost no one was wearing masks in SP and Rio's airports or in the Brazilian flight. I usually see significantly more masks in the US. I arrived exhausted at 4 pm but could not resist the temptation to meet with my favorite boy from last November. I was planning to visit 202 but instead brought 202 to my place. We had a lot of fun. He left at 7. When I was still recovering, a friend from the US who is filming porn here called me. He has fancy tastes and invited me to a late dinner at Noa Ipanema. You know I prefer more affordable and popular places, but the food and the drinks were great. We are both staying at Leblon, so he picked me up with his Uber for both trips. Impossible to walk. It was raining. My plan today was to walk around Leblon, but instead, I am chilling in my base. I may go to hang out with my US friend. He is on a break from filming until this Wednesday. I have a cleaning service coming to my place every two weeks. I usually remember to put away all the "private" stuff, like my water pipe, weed, and sex toys. I am not very organized and would usually dump all the sex toys in one of the closets. One day I forgot to put away my sex toys (sexy underwear, leather paraphernalia, dildos, ropes, handcuffs, masks, etc.) after one of my photoshoots back when I had a JFF account. When I returned home, the cleaners had found an empty storage box and put away all my toys in there. Interestingly, not only did they save in the container all the toys I left in my extra room. LOL. I can relate to that. Part of my job involves interpreting conversations in English/Spanish. I always have moments when I speak in English to a Spanish speaker and vice versa. My brain gets lost when I travel to Brazil and try to learn a third tongue. The challenge for me is to understand spoken language. I am capable of understanding several languages when I am reading. Although not proficient, I can express myself in a few tongues. I can navigate with no significant issues in professional conversations, but social settings are very stressful because I get lost in informal language. Me learning an Asian language? It is beyond fantasy.
