  1. Let me know if you go. I am heading to Medellin on the 16th of April and will be there for a whole month, and also visiting the other cities too. Good to go in numbers if your a first timer. I've been to Club Tobi in 2019, and the whole Bogota gay scene too, I posted about in in the past in the Colombia Hotspots post. Right now just started the rainy season in South America, so expect to not have perfect days. Even if Medellin is closed you can book a dirt cheap $30-50 flight to other cities like Cartagena and Cali.
  2. The trick may be to get the gogo before he becomes a gogo. When I spoke to the gentleman that contracts all the gogos, I asked him where he meets the boys. He said he actually meets most of them at the sauna. Now I didn't get much detail if that meant they were already garotos that turned gogo or that meant they were guys who happened to wander in to check out the place initially as a client but ended up being recruited as a gogo. But in all honesty, I don't think it would be as hard as you think if you are willing to offer a lot of money and swear a vow of utter secrecy not to ruin his "street cred."
  3. Meio Mundo still is going strong I was there in November. The places in Rio to go to still are Lions Club, Meio Mundo, Point 202, and 117. I spent the whole month of November there, but beware, due to COVID things change fast with opening and closing times. It was definitely the case that it was usually only busy at one club each day unless it was the weekend then all clubs were generally more busy.
  4. Thank for the update. I was slated to go to Medellin December 1st but cancelled because of the new lockdowns. Is there any word as to when they might curtail their curfew?
  5. Too bad Peru is closed right now.
  6. Unfortunately no, not for sex anyways. I have the contact for the guy that coordinates all the go-go boys at Lagoa and Fragata. They won't have sex but they will do a private party strip shows, or solo sessions . Now if you can manage to entice one to fuck you for the right price go for it, but you would have to negotiate that one on one with the boy. But the go-go boys act like they are superstars like Ricky Martin, so you will pay a shit ton and will be expected to keep it hush hush so you don't kill their reputation.
  7. Obviously that would be ridiculous to accomplish while having sex or drinking and eating. You wear a mask to enter but not afterwards, unless you feel you want to. But to be honest those clothe masks that 98% of people are wearing only have a 10% efficacy.
  8. I was at the grand opening and went twice after that. The best days are always the weekend more guys are always there. I would say they have more guys next door types (average joes), there are a few stunners but the gogo boys are the best looking guys there. Fragata really loves putting gogo boys on stage. Lagoa will have 2-3 boys dancing while Fragata will have 5 or more usually.
  9. i might be there I am seriously thinking about going there. I am currently in Rio right now, which is just a short 35 minute flight but an hour and a half including Uber and airplane loading time. I was just in SP for all of September and the beginning of October.
  10. You honestly have nothing to worry about, the U.S. has as many Covid cases as Brazil. I have been in Brazil since September 1st and am currently in Rio now. With a recovery rate of 99% should we really consider it a real issue when you have a higher likelihood of getting in a car accident,
  11. I'll write a report in October, I'm still in SP so I will give my opinion after a full month here. Then I'll give a month report on Rio in November after I have had a full month there. I'll be honest it won't be as sexy as @numazu1 It's hard to match such a prolific and tantalizing writing style.
  12. A few other thing I wish I had known before coming here as well. Visa is the only really universally accepted card here, so bring that over your Mastercard and AMEX, ect....Numazu1 is very correct in saying it is like mexico. Most of SP reminds me of Mexico city, from the architecture to the shops and even some of the personality. If you are looking for twinks they are here just few, you will find most of the "Admitted Bottoms" on apps or clubs. Being at Lagoa this whole week there are few bottoms and only one guy that could pass as a twink. (More of a twunk). NEVER take a guy home, I repeat NEVER take a guy home even a sauna boy (one stole my my vape pen, can't get that type of vape even imported to Brazil, huge bummer).
  13. Hey Christian, I am in SP right now landed yesterday. I can't tell you about metro because I won't use it. I uber everywhere, it's just easier with the language barrier for me. Plus Uber is cheap here, 4-5 USD most rides. Taxis and ubers sort of have discretion right now, I set in the front of my first Uber but all others had a plastic barricade and didn't allow you to sit up front. I would just plan on sitting in the back most of the time. I am currently using Google Fi, international Sim that lets you turn phone into hot spot ($35 USD for two lines talk, text, data 15-20 GB). It's been a life saver because the hotel internet is not working. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend my hotel because of internet. But most of the places here have tight security access so I would do a private airbnb (some of these places look like embassy entrances they have so much barb wire, fencing, and security staff on premises). Where I am at I just had a guy sleep over but it didn't look like a paid encounter because I am the same age as the guy and can pass as Brazilian. I really would recommend taking the guys to a cheaper hook-up option unless you trust him. Sauna boys are more trustworthy because they have ID for them at their job, and reputation is everything in this type of community, guests talk. They don't actually have you declare anything at the airport (Immigration is super chill as long as you have the health insurance and a ticket home, they don't even ask where you're staying like most countries). You won't even be asked about it. From what I see here most places have laundry onsite, either in the complex or in your individual room/airbnb. I haven't been here long enough to know about how hard it is to find a laundry service or exactly the best place for clothes. Grindr is most popular, messenger app WhatsApp (all of Latin America it's most popular), in Brazil I think Uber is by far the most popular, every local was using it non-stop. I was able to even use UberEats for late night beer and food. Let me know if you have any other questions I might be able to answer about SP.
  14. @numazu1 Thank you for the info sir! I also concur with the other gents here. More PLEASE, your writings are one of the only brite spots in this COVID darkness.
  15. I'll give it a try.....some are obviously in the trade while others seem like it's 50/50. Thanks for the info.
  16. Damn, you gotta tell us how you get these twitter and Instagram boys, because those boys are smoking hot.
  17. @floridarob Wanted to ask you if they required a COVID test either coming or going.
  18. Congrats on your fucksgiving weekend!
  19. I wouldn't necessarily say that the currency is far devalued. If you look at most LATAM currencies they have steadily declined or traded sideways in value over the last decade which is a trend I personally see continuing. The political situation in LATAM in late 2020-2021 portend to possible victories by left leaning governments which generally punishes the currency as international investors flee. It is my estimation the Real will temporarily rise just like Mexican Peso but over the long-term will fall in value. Most of LATAM require a surplus of dollars to buy products in the foreign markets. The first way they draw dollars in is by keeping rates high causing investors to borrow in a foreign currency with low rates usually USD or Yen and invest in the local country pushing capital into the banking system and spurring spending and consumption (Lebanon Model). The second way by lowering rates to depreciate their currency and artificially lower the cost of exports leaving export firms flush with capital that makes it's way into the local capital markets (Most of Latin America). Most Latin American currencies are so intertwined with exports that their currencies move in lock step with the commodity they export. (Mexico peso and Colombian peso go up nearly every-time oil rises). I am very pessimistic on Brazil personally because their main exports are Oil&Gas/Ethanol (Petrobras), soy for sorghum (cattle feed), sugar(ethanol), and iron ore. The Chinese just said they are switching to US soy supplies, electrification of car (Teslas ect), and future diets that will be less meat based will long-term sink Brazil's export base. America can print it's way out of debt because most people use our currency to settle debts giving it intrinsic value no matter what despot ascends the throne of presidency but Brazil has no luxury to do that. The only thing they can do is export or tap their swap line at the FED for dollars.
  20. Hey @floridarob since your in SP and know Lagoa, would you happen to know if these two fine gentlemen work there still? Thank you for any info you have.
  21. Thank you for sharing, unfortunately it's only available to Canadians.
  22. It's too late for me, I've got the fight, AirBnb, and travel insurance booked for Aug 31st for Sao Paulo, will be there a month then heading to Rio October 1st because i can't imagine a better Halloween than Brazil, will be there till Dec 1st then will decide if I go to Medellin or Buenos Aires. If your there in November definitely lets team up!! Buyer beware I am younger than most people on here, I'm turning 29 end of month so if you can't keep up i understand.
