I tried Hatha Khmer last week. I chose a guy and went to the room. And waited. And waited. The staff seemed half asleep. I got dressed and left. I have no idea to this day how this place survives as a business.

I checked out POC bar. The most lugubrious joint I've visited in decades of whoring. 30$ for a beer after I invited one 'host' to have a drink, only to have several mute and unappealing locals sit down with drinks that ended up on my tab. Not worth arguing over. Just avoid. Never again

I stayed past week. It's excellent. 5 star guesthouse and with the spa and massage boys there's plenty of fun to be had.

Soma is a regular masssage shop with above average prices just off Riverside i won't say too much, other than the masseur was very skilled, knew some very deep massage techniques and gave me a very full filling experience I tipped 30 us, such was my satisfaction

My Etihad flight from Athens to KL allowed a free two night stopover with limo service in Abu Dhabi (business class flight). I downloaded a VPN and Grindr lit up like a Christmas tree. i tried a massage place 'Men Spa' and wasnt disappointed.....

I was en toute to Phnom Penh and stopped in KL to break the journey. All major 5 star hotels were fully booled with the ASEAN conference. I opted for a couple of nights at the KSL Esplanade hotel in Klang. About 45 mins fr KLIA. the onsen is not gay. But I reckon 80 % of patrons are gay, many bi/ married. lots of eye candy. Not a place for action but lots of opportunities to hook up if staying at the hotel. i had a lot of fun. Boring as hell aside from the onsen though. Good spa too.

I traveled here via Athens, Abu Dhabi then a few dsys near KL. in PP Im staying at Artgur and Paul (excellent choice, btw) and a guy at pool recommended a bar "Asia Cam Bar" about a mile away. The crowd was youngish, mixture of a few foreigners and a few 20 ish muscle types and some very, very 'me' twinks. I suspect some of the locals were looking for money, but it seemed non commercial. The music not so loud I chatted with a visiting Oz guy over a few Stoli martinis, made per instruction. A brought a slim, hopelessly cute twink back. He turned out to be a most enthusiastic, well equipped top. We parted company after a dreamy long cuddle covered in what felt like half a pint of cum. The whole vibe reminded me of Bangkok in the 80s. No money was demanded but a tip of $30 was obviously ecpected and graciously accepted. I'm in heaven. I usually have no trouble in picking up guys anywhere in the world. Even Iraq, where I had more cock than I could handle. But a recent trip to Gambia drew a blank. Horrible little country, covered in litter with very dirty beaches and mediocre hotels. I used to own an estate agency in London. I remember valuing the VG property for rental. The owner was an E European origin lady. She insisted her run down property was perfect for investment bankers with deep pockets. I flew from London on MH, booking economy return. I managed to upgrade both legs on MH Upgrade for £800 each way - pretty good value. The nicer hotels in KL have spas (sauna, steam, jacuzzi etc) for guests, usually with outside memberships. Notable examples are Mandarin Oriental, Hilton/Meridien, Shangrila, Grand Hyatt and Sheraton. They can all be very active for hook ups. Weekends are especially fun as Malaysians like to do KL staycations and other Asians hop over for a cheap weekend. KL hotels are absurdly good value compared to other Asian cities. There's plenty of rent boys on Grindr. Always ask if they are MB (money boy). Some non pros will just ask for 100-150 myr to help them out, the pros ask 250-400myr. No issues bringing guests to rooms. Ive stayed at all the above hotels over the years. I tried the massage place in Fahrenheit 88. Boy fucked me beautifully after nice massage for a decent tip. No luck in other 'mens' spas' - not even HE. Some of the skankier straight massage places on Bukit Bintang have masseurs keen to play. It's pot luck though. Use your gaydar before agreeing for massage. If they tout for body massage, not foot, then it's more likely they're looking to play and earn a tip. 50myr is enough.
