At the bars, there is a sort of minimum fixed price set by the management. This makes it easier for clarity and consistency when customers ask mamasans about the cost for short time.
A minimum fixed price protects the guys from customers who may want to pay less.
But of course, the guys are welcome to accept a lower fee when customer negotiate directly with them for services that exclude sex e.g. accompanying customer to another bar to drink.

After taking the harrowing ride to 15M massage i went inside and was taken to the second floor.  The receptionist asked what kind of massage i wanted. I selected aroma oil.  I think i paid 550 for that and 1300 to Taro, all prepaid.  Taro took me upstairs to a small room with a matt on the ground.  He gave me a towel and directed me to shower in the bathroom/shower combo down the hall while he did the same upstairs. I think it really depends on the masseur, regardless of which shop you visit.  I have gone to Prestige a number of times now and even though most people indicate it is only HJ or B2B, I have gotten full service.  I am currently in Thailand, and as a newbie on here, what I discovered is even though a shop may be strictly HJ or B2B, some masseurs are willing to do more.  The only way to know for sure is to ask the masseur directly to determine what their limits are.  When doors are closed, they are sometimes willing to break the 'house rules' of management.  However, this is something you don't discuss with management, but with the therapist directly.  Just my humble 2 cents opinion.

Purely judging from that video, it seems a little more like a Japanese sauna where the dark areas for action are quite large and open so that other patrons can get up close to inspect if that turns them on! Very few private rooms, it would seem.

I prefer to pay cash for certain things.  I have paid massage shops with credit card, but the tip has been in cash and I prefer that.  At home, I will pay the restaurant bill with a card, but the tip for the server is usually in cash.  I can be sure that they are getting the money, and they do not have to go through their boss.  
Also, for certain venues, I am more comfortable not using a card and just paying in cash which is more anonymous
