The New Crisis Hitting Europe
TheBossBabyback replied to PeterRS's topic in European Men and Destinations
One, visited Australia. The nation is primarily empty. There is plenty of room for growth. Suburban sprawl can and should be replaced with more mixed used housing to meet their housing demands. But their issue isn't space. LA has tall buildings and the means to build upon the sediment at the base of the city. As they've been doing for over 200 years. Pretending that LA can't build up is foolishness. There is no reason for a city of this size and with much demand for affordable housing to retain zoning laws that restrict so many areas from turning single family homes into multi-unit dwellings. Even if 3 or 4 flat buildings became more of the norm, it would be a marked improvement. But pretending LA can't build up because of earthquakes, as a person that claims to have lived in LA, is an interesting statement. Here are the buildings currently standing, despite earthquakes. Please tell us how each is just one more shake away from toppling over. Most of the city isn't like Downtown LA and may never reach this point. But allowing the zoning laws to grant more variety in building options is the answer. Tear down more of the single family plots for 2-3 story apartments would help alleviate their housing issue. Building more 20-60 story apartment buildings would also help. LA has a long history of managing their earthquake problem. It's the NIMBY folks that are creating unnecessary housing shortages. -
The New Crisis Hitting Europe

What's wild is that. Australia is effectively empty development wise. There is an abundance of space so it really shows the faults of capitalism that artificial supply shortages are causing increased demand. Same for most of the US as well, specifically California which could build up into the sky by zoning regulations, protected by NIMBY owners, is causing chaos. -
What a lovely story. How do you guys get away with just taking up so much time while a man works? I always feel bad like I'm going to get them into trouble. Also, did your gaydar tell you he's curious from the start or did you flash cash towards the end?

Oh, do tell us more!!!

Since you asked my opinion, I'd say just move on. But if it matters, there is a great private chat feature for you two to hash it out. What DOES matters in here is information on (hot) Tunis military men.
-
Let's all just move on. No one cares who did what, when, how. Let's just enjoy a topic about hot Tunis men in uniform.
-
Um, back on topic. I'm thinking of taking on a few days in Tunis next year off of a Euro trip. Flights looks reasonable from parts of Europe. I swear, if it wasn't for @alexch unofficially acting as the head of the Gay Tunis Tourist Board, I wouldn't even have this place on my radar. So many nations get zero attention on this website. Only so many times we can read about Thailand, Brazil, Columbia, and Spain. I thank Alexch for giving the Africa forum some love. Now, military men? Sign me up, lol.

La Goulette de Tunisie - the story continues
TheBossBabyback replied to alexch's topic in Gay Africa
Okay, last one is fine and to be expected, it's always risky to have sex away from home (at least in my mind). The first three parts sound like homework I know I don't have the time to complete. I'll have to really consider if I will proceed with my 2026 Tunis plans. -
This is why when I read of Hungry and now Poland backsliding into far right conservatism, my heart aches while my duck swells. The more conservative, the better the sexual options. Though, I'd rather have no vacation sex and LGBTQ freedom and acceptance, but the world is simply not that easy.

Okay, you are the expert. How does one pick up a guy. You told us where to go, thanks for that, but how. @alexch -
Could selection bias be at play with your FL examples? If we took note of the English that landed in the colonies, we’d think the Brits were all highly religious prudes. When the reality is that highly religious conservatives happen to dominate the early settlements of that colonies. maybe Morocco and Tunis just sent their more conservative hotties to FL. or I’m just talking nonsense, which isn’t uncommon for me these days, lol.

How are you finding them, facebook search by location?

Did the Airbnb meet ups not concern you a bit? I know things can happen anywhere, but does that give anyone else pause especially if they aren't sharing photos.

It’s a two-way street. Let’s not pretend Cuba has been a saint in this process. They continue with many of the leadership principles that got them on America’s shit list. No one is owed access to US resources. They have the rest of the world to play with, so make it work or change. If the Us is that critical then the government should put the people first and change leadership. the US isn’t hurting without Cuba so it’s on Cuba to change here. Or don’t change, choice is really there’s.

From what I can tell from online reviews, the hotel is basically an old Courtyard with JW Marriott prices. I'm adding a note to this old thread because someone may be looking at this hotel as well. I wanted them to know what you can come to expect. It has been recently renovated but again, on the level of an old Courtyard. I just booked a two night stay for the 2025 NYE. So, the location, lounge, rooftop pool and proximity to the beach won me over. I have a shitty room with 2 twin beds. Not sure if I'll keep this reservation.

So, only chance is hoping room service send someone hot to your room to deliver food and maybe more, lol.

Italians are way too conservative with photos. On a recent trip, I had three guys I spoke with on Grindr, pretend that they didn't have any face pics on their phone. I challenged them on that bullshit saying it's 2024 and everyone has a smart phone. They still claimed not to have a face pic. So I asked them to take a photo. Can't take a photo. Okay, I asked them to pull one from their Instagram or Facebook. They claimed not to have either. Then one wanted to get my SnapChat to share photos on there. I was over the bullshit. We aren't even from the same country, much less city, the risk was super low but they were some paranoid people.

Tips for Tbillissi (Georgia)
TheBossBabyback replied to GermanGay's topic in European Men and Destinations
Did your profile have you face on it or was it blank? Curious how one should maneuver. -
I mean, outside of their homes. The Russian//Ukranian war makes it hard to visit in their homelands.
-
Dumb question, but where have you found Russians and Ukrainians? I once hooked up with a sweet Russian I met in a Berlin hostel. Besides that, no such luck finding either. Any tips your can share?

22 February 2024 update on Brazil (Brasil) SIM cards for foreigners
TheBossBabyback replied to travguy's topic in Gay Brazil
I’ve used them in Europe. Was so so easy to install on my phone and use. They cover Brazil, so I don’t even see the point of the hassle of trying to navigate a physical sim for short trips. Folks, eSIM is the way the way to go. Physical SIMs are so 2010s coded. Now, I understand the concern of your personal number being exposed via WhatsApp chats, so in that case, a burner number/phone makes some sense. -
Hot gifs and great information. Follow up, because I've been trying to read through the massive Brazil threads but will just ask the experts, are the guys allowed to just up and leave. I brought back a stripper from Campus (Montreal) but he had me wait till his shift ended at 3am. Are the GBs allowed to just dip with clients? How much did your fresh 18 year old sleepover cost, if you don't mind talking numbers? My Montreal hunk cost me $400 CAD for a single hour.
-
How much larger. Are we talking from 150 to 200 or from 200 to 250? This is all still cheap by North American standards, so I'm not pressed either way.
