The park is a real attraction for us. Cats and men in shorts. In malaysia we rescue stray cats that live on our estate, heartbreaking at times but highly rewarding. There's not enough hours in the day for us and cats. Men in shorts by the dozen, what's not to like when you have a shorts and leg fetish..... The only bar we have been to is Infinity on soi4. We like it there. We have been five times in the month. We like going to one place so we become known and feel more 'at home' we don't even have to order drinks, they know what we have, so that's nice. I've always wanted to watch a show but we find the bars a bit loud, perhaps in pattaya we can see a show. We will certainly be doing some sauna crusing.... we were going to sauna here in bkk but looking at the saunas we felt there were too many stairs for hubby and still unsure which was best for us to visit. We have a friend in pattaya so hopefully we can get some sound advice for our month there. I should have added that cruising at central silom mall. I suggested nothing happened inside the mens room, and of course you are right, there is a fair bit of suggestive eye contact and patient waiting at a washbasin or urinal to see if an advance is incoming, so in that sense yes, action. I was going to put a reply to that effect but this will cover it. My only concern would be later in the afternoon there is the possibility of being very aware many younger people leaving school are around so one's behaviour should be kept in mind at that time of day. We were at the baked rice place on the second floor opposite the lifts, with a clear view, we noticed a couple of people going round in circles pretending to look busy, that was 6pm We were at Terminal 21 yesterday and couldn't help but notice some lads spending extended time at the handbasin, in front of the large mirrors, which gave a direct reflection of the urinals.... doesn't take long to work that out....

He couldn't be nicer. He does prefer not to f***k. He's polite and not demanding. We've seen him in soi 4 and central mall. He's quite local to this corner of silom. You can speak quite freely with him about your desires. Even after we said we wouldn't meet again he was still friendly toward us in soi 4

And given that the photo's on booking dot com are quite deceptive, I stupidly assumed the deluxe suite sofa was too big to photograph! 'room service' here is a change of towels and bedding, pop in a new toilet roll, adding two small bottles of water to the fridge and checking to see if you drank the alcohol, then a wipe and dust and quick push with a floor mop. You can put up a do not disturb to avoid the intrusion. The lady who usually does our room is very diligent and very sweet. The apartment we have rented in Pattaya looks much nicer, a proper kitchen, balcony, washing machine, large sofa in the photos, large bed, added bonus, half the price of what we paid for the quarter.
-
Another mention about facilities at the Quarter, the laundry. If you're staying here a while you will probably want to use it. It's on the second floor. As we speak there are two washing machines and two old tumble driers, only one dryer working while we are here, both were out of action for a week at one point. 60 baht for a one hour cold wash, supply your own detergent. 80 baht for a 45 minute dry, which is near cold, so likely you will need to do two dries if you want proper dry laundry. Change available from reception. Machines only accept 10 baht coins. There is a laundry service and from memory it's around 1200 baht for 20 items, or something like that.

It would seem other folk also need to put up with your rude comments so I am glad I'm not alone in that.

I expect a sofa in an 'executive suite' or at the very least a comfy armchair to relax in, not just a table and two really hard old wobbly dining chairs. We are here for a month, not overnight. I'll forgive your other rude comments this once as you have never met me or my husband. We are paying a little more than 1800 baht a night (rightly or wrongly) but that doesn't excuse not having a place to sit comfortably and watch tv or relax. Checking my booking dot com as I type this, I see I have actually booked a 'one bedroom deluxe suite' The word 'deluxe' suggests some level of comfort... It is supposed to be a four star hotel. So explain to me why I should be happy with just a table and two wobbly hard chairs and no where else to 'deluxe' sit my cheap charlie arse down No sign of a microwave unless I go down to the laundry..... nothing kitchen like in this room apart from a small kettle and fridge. And if you're happy that breakfast includes a swimming contest with a cockroach, fake ham and soggy wet sausages, sitting in warm water, I salute your advanced level of hotel knowledge in BKK

That would explain the smell of piss (joke)

Thank You. The breakfast is not even 1 star in my humble opinion. Scrambled eggs and coffe is about the only thing worth having, on the two occassions we did pay, we even had to clear our own table to be able to sit down and eat. A glance in the kitchen made me feel ill. The choice available is really very poor. We've taken to buying fruit and advocado at TOPS and having that for breakfast, and right next door to the Quarter is a small food stall that does two friend eggs for 20 baht. Put a fried egg on a fried rice if you are hungry, very cheap and quite enjoyable... Around the corner on Saldaeng Road there is a very busy food court but if you time it as the lunch rush ends, (it gets insanely busy around noon) around 1pm, there's a huge selection of stalls, I do like a won ton mee or a stir friend chicken and veg for lunch. Very cheap, pay with cash or QR code. Paying 299 baht for the Quarter breakfast is ridiculous considering what is available. There has been a very grumpy old american ex navy chap staying here, I passed comment about the state of breakfast to him, his reply was simple... Whoever gave this place four stars can't count.... Lumphini park is just fabulous, and having so many men jog past in tiny shorts is a joy to behold. The cats are a huge attraction for us.

One thing I should mention is the Touch and Go app. It's a real bonus to have it. I use Wise out here for all my currency changes and payments with the wise card. Many shopping mall food courts don't accept cash, and very many places I've found it easier to pay with a QR code. You have to use a ticket machine at places like the basement food court at Dusit, to get a bit of paper with a QR code to scan to pay and then get a refund if you don't spend the value of the token. with TnG app you can scan to pay at any of the food stalls and avoid the ticket machine queues and having to get a refund. It takes a day to set up the TnG app, confirm your ID with a passport photo and selfie in the app. Once it is confirmed you will find a DUIT code in the app, add that code to your wise account in the Wise app, then you can send money to yourself in the TnG app as you wish and very easily pay anything with a QR code. Topping up your TnG balance as needed. It works across several different countries but there is a small charge to send money to the app, well worth it for the convenience imo. As an example, I've woken up stupidly early, don't want to wake fabulous him up with a loud boiling kettle for coffe, so I used my phone to my to scan the QR code on the coffe machine outside while smoking. The cafe downstairs is also cashless and the egg and bacon bagel is a must have... I've lost count the number of places I've paid with TnG instead of cash or card....

Thankyou. That works.

We found out using Google search for cruising in bkk. Nothing happened in the toilets but loitering around at the area near the lifts looking busy on your phone with one eye out, should have an experienced cruiser notice eye contact, loitering MB and obvious signs of possible action. 2nd and 3rd floor. Afternoons seem busiest. Evening nothing happening in our case. Our friend was just leaning against the balcony rail and stared me in the eye as I walked by. 4pm I stared back and just said hello. It went from there....

Soi 4 on the left just past pride bar.

I wanted to upload some images but I keep getting an error code -200 Image size around 4mb each. Any pointers welcome. I would like to share some images... Photos from a samsung s24 phone, using a macbook air to upload... but I also got an error uploading from the phone to the forum

We needed to leave Malaysia, my visa was about to expire. We’re living in a family owned apartment in Penang, been there since April after our last border hop to Hat Yai for a month. We’ve been in Malaysia on and off since sept 2024 after we left the uk as I retired…. One way ticket, gave everything away before we left… I should have left Malaysia this time in July, I had my O visa approved, we were going back to Hat Hai to drop 800k baht in a bank account and get a condo. Three weeks before we were due to leave we decided to go stay at Cititel in Georgetown for the weekend to do some last minute shopping. We love it there, they love us… Typical me, drinking in Chulia street at Hubby’s old bar, back to the hotel 1am, what a great idea to spin around in my flip flops and video the four elevators like something out of an Eli Roth movie for my YT channel…. Down I went in flip flops, bang…. One broken collar bone, three days in hospital and 4k pounds later I found myself with a six month medical extension to recover. I had no choice but to drive back to Bukit Mertajam the next morning and then take myself up to Sunway Medical center in a Grab the next afternoon…. The terrible floods hit Hat Yai not long after my accident, blessing in disguise? Not for the kind people of HY for sure. We faced the prospect of re apply for the O visa again once I recover, or just do a border hop and decide what to do later, Hat Yai won’t be back to normal for quite some time. Fuck I said, in a loud voice while drinking again, let’s not do another visa, lets just go to Bangkok and party. We will have been living in very anti homosexual Malaysia for 9 months by the time my visa expires, let’s go have a fucking party… So Bangkok it was to be, we’ve done Patong and Hat Yai so let’s go large… Where to stay, a post here revealed a few options and we eventually settled for the Quarter in Saladaeng. I honestly thought we had booked a room with a kitchen but apparently not… but we did have “an executive suite” That sounds nice for a month, downtown bangkok, pool, fabulous room, cost a fortune, but we live for free in Malaysia other than the electric bill and our own expenses for day to day life. We arrived on Monday 12th jan amid the tea time traffic, loaded up with BOLT, Touch & GO and Grab apps. There was some confusion at the airport as to where to wait for a Bolt, we were directed up and down floors as tho’ we were looking for the underwear department at One Bangkok…. We were tired and decided to go against all advice and just get a cab, a kiosk in front of us, we asked for a ride. A London style cab whisked us to Saladaeng for 800 baht, I gave him 1000 as he drove like the devil through the rush hour traffic. We checked in very much looking forward to our “executive suite’ The last 9 months hadn’t been the most comfortable so anything executive sounded like a win win… We opened the door of the suite to find a very disappointing room. It was large, but really, a table and two old chairs, no sofa, a funny little ‘office desk’ with a fake brass lamp? Are you fucking kidding me? For a month? This place hasn’t seen anything new since 1972… look at the state of it…so tired…. Not executive by my standards…. OK so maybe the hotel photos are misleading on booking dot com and I’m not checking what the room actually has as I hit OK on the checkout. I went down to reception and explained I wasn’t happy, I am here for a month, I’ve just forked out 69.445 baht for this, I want a fucking sofa, we can’t spend a month with just a table and two chairs! The chap at reception understood my dilemma, checked his screen and found us a room much the same but with at least, a window sofa seat kind of arrangement, I didn’t have much choice but to take it…… Oh well, welcome to Bangkok, we will make the best of it… The pool is cold, it doesn't get the sun in the shade of the adjacent tower blocks, we didn't use it once.... We weren’t sure what “party” we would be up for, we like sauna and darkrooms, we don’t have a problem with MB but Patong proved that some bars can rinse your wallet clean in no time at all (insert smile icon) so we didn't rush in to anything... but we are happy to place. I'll mention we have been together 20 years and got to a place in our 'civil partnership' that we can be open but never play without each other... The first few days we found our bearings, Lumphini park was a massive draw as we devote a lot of our time to cats, as an added bonus, the park is full of cute men in shorts jogging and I have a shorts and legs fetish…we love a shopping mall, escalators air con and food and nice toilets. We found One Bangkok, Central and Dusit, Mc Donalds, the gay streets and bars and KFC. By Friday we both had a sore throat, by Sunday I had a cold, hubby escaped it…. Until I got better some 6 days later and he took a hit, so long story short, the first two weeks were not the best. We know where the pharmacy is! First name terms. We did make it to Infinity bar and enjoyed a beer but that was about it, Grindr app gave a few options but we both felt so crap we didn’t extend any hospitality to anyone. We were going to stay in BKK for two months but couldn’t find anywhere for the second month that we liked, we didn’t want to stay at the Quarter, it’s very tired, the breakfast is pretty awful, made even worse by a small cockroach doing breaststroke over the ham and sausages. That said the eggs were nice, cooked to order, but as we didn’t include breakfast in our deal (we are late risers and usually miss hotel breakfasts) we paid for the two breakfasts we did have, which I think were not worth the 299 baht each for what is certainly not a four star breakfast by ANY stretch of the imagination. I really don’t think the quarter is 4 star, the staff are, the hotel is not. I am aware some rooms are very nicely appointed, my bad for not being smarter during the booking process. We did impress ourselves as we recovered from our cold, we took the skytrain up to Nextopia, we too the metro down to Saphan Taskin and took a boat up to Khoa San Road, we took a bolt to Chinatown, and found our way back on the metro. Might not seem much, but for two old fossils to master the public transport system in BK without help or an app, we consider that a gaming term, ‘level up’ in our experiences…. We are at the end of week three, no party yet, we were aware cruising takes place in Central Silom mall, 2nd and 3rd floor by the escalator, one afternoon when hubby needed to pee, I hung around on the 2nd floor and a very attractive lad in a baseball cap smiled at me, I said hello, he asked if I wanted to play. I literally started dripping precum as I stood there talking to him about options but ‘not today’ we are tired… He was disappointed it wouldn’t be today, I needed to speak to hubby first before committing to anything. I walked away with a very visible wet patch of precum in my shorts having talked to my first ever MB about what I wanted to do to him. Hubby and I walked back to the Quarter, talking about what we could do with this fine 34yo man…. He was short, (funsize) handsome and very charming. I do like men physically smaller than me, makes me feel more powerful as a top. Hubby likes a hairy dad so this lad wasn’t his best choice but F it, lets at least talk about it as we head home with our TOPS fruit and Chang beers… We decided to give it a go and the day after we went for coffee around the same time as the day before, at the Japanese cafe not far from where we met him, sitting in a way so we could see the area the boys cruising stand. Lo and behold as we finished coffee he walk past us heading for the toilets and smiled. He saw us, smiled and went on his way. I went after him and caught him at the area by the escalator and proceeded to suggest we might have a deal. I told him what I wanted to do and how much would I have to give him. He asked me how much can I give so I threw him a thousand baht. I didn’t want to fuck, just suck, wank, cum on his ass, play with his cock, lick his legs and arse, vanilla wank, hubby joins in, suck wank.. He asked for two thousand, I said yes and the three of us headed back to our hotel, chatting along the way. We walked in the Quarter without hesitation and no one glanced at our new guest. Once in our room we gave him a beer, took him to the shower and got him clean, beautiful body for 34yo. Tight, smooth, nice dick and very happy to have two of us soap him up and rinse him off. I gave him 1k on leaving the mall with the promise of the other 1k once we were done. We went to the window seat, he sat on my face and sucked my dick, I couldn’t get hard……. I was enjoying a hangover but damn it, I want a MB. We went to the bed, played and touched and wanked but still I couldn’t get hard, hubby did but it didn’t take long for us to realize this wasn’t going to make us cum. I made an excuse about how tired I was and needed another shower and got dressed, he took his cue from that and got dressed. I gave him the 1k I owed and he was on his way, having exchanged my whatsapp….. Around 10pm that evening he messaged me, ‘I’d love to see you cum’ Little did he know that hubby and I had a massive wank about an hour before he messaged us so we sent back a message apologizing that we couldn’t afford another visit tonight… Next day at 10am I get a message asking what we are up to, we talked overnight that this particular lad wasn’t going to get us to cum, as nice as he was it just didn’t tick the boxes, not so much about his physical attributes, he is very cute but he did have really bad breath… It was more about the conversation that goes on with a hotel visit. What do you do, where are from, what’s your favorite color, do you like beer, where are you going next. We don’t want to get to know anyone, we just want to cum. This would explain why we like saunas and dark rooms, anonymous sex, cum, and go…. Perfect… I replied to the message that we were eating and going out for the day, he replied if he could see us that evening so I decided to be very honest and sat that we had talked about it overnight and decided not to meet again. He seemed to accept that and left us alone. That very evening we hit Infinity bar again and saw him as we were walking along, he was very polite and smiled at us but didn’t hassle us. It must be a very hard life for a MB to find your way through the day and hope someone wants a return visit, it’s easier than hunting down a new trick. Bless him, I have nothing but respect for him, he is very nice. It just didn’t work for us…. We now have four days left, next Thursday we are heading to Pattaya for a month, we have rented an apartment, with a fucking kitchen at last, and it’s much cheaper. It will be nice to get out of BKK but now we have found our way round we will actually miss it very much. We decided to have a bagel at the hotel cafe this afternoon, as we walked out a very cute boy stared at me by the elevator, I stared back and announced to hubby that he is cute. Next thing I know, Grindr is telling me he is saying hello and do I like a MB? (Insert many smile icons) We went off to Terminal 21 this evening and by the time we got there (on the MTS I’ll have you know, using the machine and not the lady in the kiosk) he has messaged us to let us know he heard me call him cute. I apologized that we were out for the day and yes, I did like a MB. Once back at the Quarter this evening we stood outside to smoke and a cute lad standing there, I asked hubby, is that him? It’s dark, we are tired, can’t be sure. Grindr message, yes it is me, would you like to meet. I excused myself with 'tired and exhausted' but happy to chat if we see him again smoking later. Sure enough an hour later we are smoking and he is there…. He has to leave the hotel in the morning but doesn’t fly home to Indonesia until the 15th and is not sure what he is going to do. That set alarm bells ringing on my wise app balance so we made our excuses, wished him well with a pat on the back, and retreated to our room…. Bangkok is amazing, the Quarter staff are amazing. My best guess, working for UHG (urban hospitality group) is not an easy number. The boys on the reception are 5 star kind and truly remarkably kind. Avoid the breakfast at all costs. I doubt we will stay at the Quarter again but visiting BKK again may well happen. We are off to Pattaya soon, one month in BKK is enough for two old fossils, we have decided to be complete sluts at the Sansuk sauna where we can just play with some cocks and bums in the dark and not have to engage in conversation about the color of curtains or choice of fried or boiled eggs for breakfast…… Thank You Bangkok, it’s been really nice apart from having a cold. Meeting the You Tube Roti lady was special, food can be very expensive but food courts do exist, you can eat very cheap if you want to. I will never ever forget chatting up my first MB outside a public toilet and feeling the precum dripping down my legs like a teenager… Every time I remember that moment I will get a twinge in my pants and a smile. I forgot to add, the lovely man that sits outside the fetish bar with his whip, gently caught my bum last night as we walked past, I gave him a hug… he’s something special and Infinity bar is a firm favorite of ours, it’s the only place we’ve been to drink beer…. The boys that stand outside Infinity bar are delicious, kind and very nice, thank you to them for making us feel welcome on our 5 or six visits... it's the only place we drink... The location of the quarter is perfect but it is tired and could do with some investing the comfort of some rooms, housekeeping are brilliant, be aware the little tins of beer in the fridge are 100 baht each but big cans of beer at TOPS are only 50 baht, so if you drink the fridge dry, as I am tonight writing this, it's no alcohol day due to the voting, pop the 'do not disturb' sign up on your door in the morning, head to TOPS and buy the same little cans for 33 baht to put back in the fridge so you don't get charged.... The bed is very comfortable, the window seat will break your back but it will fit two of you and a MB sitting on your face.... the shower could be a little hotter, the bath takes 20 mins to fill. You get 2 little bottles of water a day for free but you can boil the tap water for tea and coffe and not get the screaming shits. Cheers for now. Mike and Chun.

I was offered spanking as i walked past one afternoon. I replied that I'd rather spank him. He smiled. It's straight fetish so of no interest. Another evening stroll we encountered a very angry lady with the whip offering s+m. I'll stick to my filthy gay Japanese s+m porn wanks for the time being.

We're over the worst of it, we've stayed close to home while we're feeling rubbish. We can be found loitering around Dusit food basement, Tops supermarket for supplies, and Lumphini to enjoy the cats and never ending legs in tiny shorts jogging past us. We had one night 'off our faces' in silom 4, drinking, in the first few days here. We've got two weeks left here, we were going to stay two months but decided to rent an apartment in Pattaya for the second month. Bangkok is wonderful but two months here could prove a bit much for us and I wouldn't mind a paddle....
-
We've been here two weeks. Both full of cold and cough so off to a slow start. We did visit Lumphini last Sunday afternoon. Very enjoyable. QS is a bit tired but the location is perfect.

Accomodation in Bangok when staying in Thailand for 2 months
durian replied to gytis123's topic in Gay Bangkok
I used booking dot com and was searching for apartments. I couldn't bear a month in a hotel (what with housekeeping coming in everyday and I like to sleep during the day) so I wanted an apartment. -
Had I not broken my collar bone four months ago, I would be in Hat Yai on a Non O visa by now with a yearly rental on a condo. Everything was in place, the visa, the condo, tickets and transport and then bang, I went down like a bowling pin and broke my collar bone three weeks before I was due to travel. I've watched the event unfold from Penang where I am currently enjoying a visa medical extension. I'm not sure how I would have coped had I found myself there as planned, this has been a truly devastating time for the south. I'm currently wondering if HY is the best place to retire to, I'm heading for 70, I know this type of event doesn't happen every year but it has and probably will happen again. The heartbreaking videos of the flood and now the clean up makes me wonder where people get thier strength from I also note that typically, it didn't take long for the blame game to begin on the socials about who should have done what and when... The reason for wanting to be in Hat Yai is that my hubby is from Penang and we have an apartment in bukit mertajam where we live when we're this side of the border. The MM2H visa is way over my head....

Sorry. My bad. You're quite right that I should have posted this in the Malaysia forum. Sorry about that
