  1. Unfortunately I think the new higher pricing ($70-ish USD per hour) is here to stay because in the smaller cities or rural areas of Mexico $700 pesos/hr ($35USD) seems to be the norm now with a range of $500-$900 pesos ($25-$45USD). Of course bigger cities will command higher prices (CDMX, Tijuana, Cancun, Guadalajara, etc). I think a lot of it has to do with the improving economic situation for regular Mexicans due to the reforms of the Morena party which creates inflationary economic pressures. The minimum wage has more than doubled in Mexico from 2020 to 2024 (from $120mxn/day to $250mxn/day) and low and behold, escort pricing is on par with that and has also doubled. But despite the higher prices, I love Mexican men. They don't get a lot of love on these forums, but I have tasted every type of man around the globe, and no one comes close to the vibes, good feelings, and people pleasing that Mexican escorts bring. Sure they generally don't have the drop-dead gorgeous and muscular looks of a Brazilian garoto, but Mexican men aim to please and party. Generally speaking, I think men from LATAM have a zest for life that you can't find anywhere else, and no one does it better than Mexicans. They are "atrevidos" which translates to bold, cheeky, and persistent. I've had many a meeting with an escort in Mexico where the clock is of no importance and we can kick back and enjoy our company without time pressures. No request is too large or too small because Mexican culture places heavy emphasis on community, hospitality, and social gatherings. If you meet the Mexican escort's good vibes, playfulness, and zeal, you'll have a tremendous time.
  2. This is the first time I've seen this mentioned in this forum. Yes Hamburgo Street between Sevilla street and Florencia Street are street hustlers. Sometimes they spill over to Hamburgo and Amberes street like what user Latbear4blk mentioned, but it's rarer now. This section of Hamburgo has guys standing on the north side of the street, facing oncoming traffic and they stand next to the parked cars. You'll know they are hustlers because they will be nicely dressed in suits or dressed like "chacales" which are straight acting dudes (wearing a ball cap, clean tennis shoes, maybe tattooed, wearing gold or silver chains around the neck). They stand next to parked cars because clients will drive by looking at the "merchandise" and stop to discuss prices through the window. Police drive by but everything is tolerated and you won't be hassled. There are also men who act as security who are in cars or nearby in case anyone becomes rowdy - the hustlers pay a "piso" which is like a protection fee for the people who control that street at night. If you're walking on the sidewalk you can chat them up too and discuss prices. Most of the guys have hotels they prefer but they'll be willing to go anywhere you tell them. A popular hotel to take the guy back is Hotel Cies (an hourly hotel which caters specifically to escorts and their clients) which is about 6 city blocks away or 10 minutes by car - best you drive or take an Uber there.
  3. Frequent traveler to Mexico City...the so called "Uber Fraud" that Mavica wrote about is somewhat true, but it's hardly pervasive. Uber drivers in Mexico City get a general notification about what district the drop-off will be before they accept the ride and they will reject the pickup if it's very far or time-consuming during rush hour (CDMX traffic is insane during "hora pico" (peak hour) from 6p-8pm work days). Yes I have seen the behavior that Mavica mentions where an Uber driver will accept the ride and sit idling until you cancel - in all my years traveling to CDMX and Mexico it's happened a handful of times so it's not pervasive. However, if you're requesting rides that are 50+ minutes away, yeah I can see that happening more often. Take the Metro instead - it's a great alternative.
  4. I was in Quito in November 2024 during their power outages. I tried planning a trip in 2023 and similarly there was a nation wide shortage of electricity. and decided against it, but took the risk to go in 2024. It Seems that electrical outages are the norm now from October to January. I mention this because my experience may have been colored by those power outages, but I felt very unsafe in the country. I've traveled all over and have lived in large urban centers all over, and I have never felt so unsafe before in my life. The air had a feeling of foreboding that I can't quite describe and a sense of desperation. The power outages were rolling for 12 hours at a time for different zones, but as I was assured, the central zone in Quito north of Parque El Ejido and south of Av. Cristobal Colon is not affected by the power outages because as my hotel told me, it's a tourist zone and there is a hospital in the area. Also, the big hotels have generators. Grindr is a good place to meet. Lot's of guys looking for sugars, but honestly none of the guys passed the sniff test and I felt uneasy with the guys on Grindr. I could say the same for Skokka but most of the guys set off my bullshit detector. Plaza Foch is a place where you can pick up a scort, and I noticed some women (probably trans?) and some twinks lounging around with backpacks or makeup bags around the wrist (a tell tale sign they are scorts) but the whole area felt uneasy and unsafe. There is a sauna in this central area (easy to find on Google maps) but it closes early. My hotel told me to be careful after dark and to only use Uber. All this is to say that there are better places in LATAM to enjoy.
  5. I'm a frequent traveler to CDMX and I can assure you that this not an urban legend. I've done it and I've shared stories with other guys who have done it. El ultimo vagon (or last train car) is indeed something that many gay guys know about in CDMX. True, it's not an orgy every time you walk in to the last trian car, but guys do grab themselves, whip it out and jerk it, or give someone else a helping hand, or helping mouth. Every now and then someone will be brave enough to fuck, but it's mostly handies and blowies. Or some guys use it to cruise and strike up a conversation and make plans for later. Any time of day is fair game (I've known friends that have done it during morning rush hour) but your best bet is to get into the last train car on Metro line 3 after 10pm on a Friday or Saturday (but really any day will work). Line 1 was also good but it's currently under construction.
  6. In Zona Rosa there are some hotels that will stop you if you bring in a guest, but I have found that as long as you walk in confidently past the front desk while carrying a conversation with your companion or carrying a coffee drink or a togo order, few if any will question you. It's like some strange psychological hack. For the rest of CDMX, I have found that the large hotels (250+ rooms) it's fairly easy to get past the front desk with your companion - they're so busy checking and checking out guests all day long that no one even bats an eye (think NH Hotel, St Regis, Hiltons (except fro the one near Alameda Park, Barcelo, Fiesta Americana). If you're at a medium sized hotel I've foudn that getting your companion in before 10pm is also a safe bet that no questions will be asked - just walk in confidently.
  7. There used to be a good bit of "teibols" where a guy could get a lap dance from another guy, but that industry really died out during the pandemic. Spartacus in the near the Benito Juarez Airport has gogos on display for a mixed crowd (males and females) but for the right price you can go to a private room for a lap dance. The only other place that I know of that still offers lap dances is Nomadas Bar near Plaza Garibaldi. It's a small place, but you can get a private lap dance.
  8. There were still some hidden gems of hotels in Zona Rosa that didn't require room keys to access elevators but that's gone now. Up until a year ago, Hotel NH Reforma didn't have key cards for elevator. If you check any of the large hotels with big lobbies close to the Revolucion monument and Alameda park, they still have elevators without key cards and they don't ask for ids at the front desk with the exception of Hilton Reforma.
  9. It's true, the last year or two I've seen prices rise for escorts in CDMX. $800-$1000 ($40-$50SUD) pesos was common for your average guy, but prices are now frequently $1200-$1500 ($60-$70USD). If you message someone using a US phone number they will quote you starting at $1500-$1800 ($75-$90USD) and above. If you plan to party there for a long time, best get a phone sim with a local number if you want a lower price.
  10. Frequent traveler to CDMX. Here's my tips Altitude sickness: took me about 5 trips to CDMX to get acclimated. I suggest to everyone to get Acetazolamide prescribed by doctor - not an option if you have blood pressure issues. Safety: If you are in "Gringolandia" (Condesa, Roma, anywhere along Reforma.boulevard) it's very safe even at night. Just have your wits about you and don't walk down dark alleys or have you phone out at night or stumble around drunk at night. Does one cruise Ultimo Vagon (last car of the metro) is a good place to cruise. Mostly any line at night, but in particular line 3. Just hop onto the last car after 8pm. Condom use: anecdotally PrEP usage seems high in CDMX (the government gives it for free) so lots of guys don't use condoms. Where to stay: Zona Rosa: if you want to party all night, sure. Condesa: Foodies paradise where most everyone you encounter speaks English and you'll pay 80% US prices. Roma Sur: hipster haven, prices are more accessible. Roma Norta: blend of Condesa and Roma Sur. If you want to bring in guests without the front desk knowing, best to go with a large hotel chain that has a huge lobby because every other place will ask for identification. Any foods to avoid? Only drink bottled water. If you get stomach sick, go to any pharamcy and ask for "Neomicina" - it'll cure you with 1 pill. Any street food reccs? Any place that has a line and the cooks are wearing gloves
