It's a bit of an alternative scene, with plenty of Mary Jane in the air and a dreadlock here and there.

Otherwise, though, it's arguably Rome's biggest gay party, with everything that encompasses. They also have special events on off nights, so check for those as well.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays you must be naked, no exceptions. Sundays underwear is permitted. Wednesdays feature clothing (!), and there's free entrance.

It's run by an American and his Italian partner. There are hardcore film nights, strip show nights, go-go boys every night, a pretty scene-y bathroom, and an actual dark room in the back.

At Circolo degli Artisti the crowd takes advantage of the outdoor area, and it's chatty and cruisey. Lanificio is more of an indoor space, and much more club-like as a whole.
