  1. I don't care if they speak Thai or not, if they are good at what they do, I'm happy (doctor wise). I don't care if they speak English or not, if they are good at what they do, I'm happy (boy wise). I don't equate either to the Thai minimum wage as they are both professionals. I think that may where we diverge in our opinions? I view escorts are professionals and not minimum wage workers. No apology needed. I have had people poking the bear for 20 years. I have a think skin. I use to live in Pattaya and went out nightly and loved my time there. For the last 10 years, I only went to visit a dear friend. He is no longer with us so I don't go as often as I was mostly going to see him. I find I can be just as happy boy wise in Bangkok and still get to all the big malls.
  2. The government office for changing car ownership is a trek for most. It is near the old airport area. The traffic is an absolute nightmare. We spent over 2 hours trying to find parking in bumper to bumper traffic. Then, only to be told to go somewhere else first. We had been to another office and filled out all the required paperwork but it seems many don't know what the full process is. After an inspection of the car, we went back to find parking and another hour when a guy on a motorcycle told my Thai friend that he could all this for us for a fee. I was tired and asked if this was legit and the BF said yes. So, we did it. We gave him the blue book, all the paperwork and the money 3,000 plus a tip 1,000 for his shop and off he went. Two hours later he returned with all the work done, a new blue book, and the BF with a car in his name. I recently bought a new Camry and wanted him to have the SUV in his name as I know it is better this way. Now, his mother thinks he hit the lottery and I'm sure she will have her hands held out for money soon. LOL If we had gone in together, a farang and a Thai, they may have not believed that I was giving it to him and they could have made us pay more. But, with the little service, it was fast and efficient and no issues with the paperwork and no additional money.
  3. BTW: Both Villa Market and Lazada have great bread mixes now. I use Bob's Red Mill. I also like the Beer Cheese Bread linked above.
  4. I took out the spinners yesterday and the loaf looked beautiful! Yummy! https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/blog/2015/02/17/successful-loaves-from-your-bread-machine
  5. Well, I was in my elevator today and I smelled weed. I continued to the first floor and the guy got out and went to the Grab taxi driver and got a bag. The bag had a smiley face on it and a weed symbol. I am not shy so I asked him and he said, "yes, they all deliver now to your door." I thought this might be a little hard to get but after talking to him and then asking others, it is just as easy here as ordering Pizza. I was shocked that a country that just recently incarcerated people for long times for this, is now so open and visible.
  6. Sure, I have a doctor in NYC that is 200 for a visit and the escorts are 300 for a short time. I use the Whopper as a means. You can buy a Whopper in USA and other places. For an escort in the USA, you would never tip the cost of a Whopper for service but some in Thailand try this. In Thailand Whopper meal cost 219 Thai baht. So, the cost of a short time is about 10 Whoppers (using 2,000) In USA, the Whopper meal cost is 6.50 USA. So, the cost of a short time is about 31 Whoppers (200 USD, even though most in bigger cities charge more). Yeah, Yeah, I know cost of living, etc. But, IMHO, tipping someone the cost of a meal at Burger King for a blow job is insufficient. Perhaps, cruel even. This thread has been fascinating and I think a good debate among many to see different views. I expect more see my view in Bangkok than in Pattaya. But, maybe no one does and that is OK. We all have different ways of tipping and taking care of the people who take care of us. As @floridarob pointed out, I may gift too many motorcycles to guys that are good to me and I have never felt guilty with that. I have also never tipped the cost of a Whopper for a sexual service and I have felt guilty for that. I have one long term boyfriend who I have gifted 10 motorbikes, two cars, and more. And, I still feel that he has not gotten the full amount he deserves for his kindness to me over the years. Hell, today I'll be taking him for a Whopper for sure. Thank you all for your various points of view. I would buy each of you a Whopper but I'm afraid you would feel the need to put out and I don't do over 40s.
  7. Tough comparison. The day laborer does not often go days without any pay or benefits. There are so many differences between what a money boy can make at the top of their game and what a regular laborer makes but why not consider them professionals and base their rate on that concept. I pay my doctor 1500 baht for a quick treatment and is that not similar to a short time rate? Having spent time with many Western hookers, I know that their feeling (and mine) is that they are professionals and need to be treated as such. In Thailand, that concept is often not thought about as the tendency is to think of them as the bottom of the labor market and not the top of it. I just simply disagree with the comparison with a poorly paid laborer.
  8. I am glad that phase ended as well. And, yes, I do remember it well.
  9. I guess my easily over 2,000 visits to Sunee Plaza is an understanding without practical knowledge? Not quite! Admittedly, I have not been there but 5 times in last two years, but I still think I have ample practical knowledge. My high falutin idea is to pay for services rendered and to pay a good amount commensurate with that service.
  10. +1 Totally agree. I think that some believe that a boy getting a blow job should be fun for him. It is not. It is work. There is a discrepancy in income and for this service, 1,000 is extremely fair. Let's not kid ourselves into think they love sex with old men. It is a job and one that should be well rewarded.
  11. IMHO, you suck the boy, a minimum of 1,000 baht.
  12. It was breathtaking for sure. I grew up near the original Space Camp and spent a great deal of time thinking about being an astronaut. I am always impressed when I see amazing things like this and do wonder what else is out there.
  13. Sad that students are still going through this. I wonder how much alcohol had to play in this?
  14. New Twilight looks lovely. I like that area and don't mind stopping for a bit to eat at Mango and then going around. Thanks for the heads up about the new bar. I have not been there, but will give it a try.
  15. You post is great and informative. There was one poster who tried to derail it and he was put on a week time out. Please carry on!
  16. Love the story. Glad he remembers you.
  17. Don't forget, I banned all Republicans on this board. jk But, I do try to ignore them.
  18. Thanks all. I'll be trying those in the future. I chose the Pullman Grand Sukhumvit Jazz Brunch today as it was 2 for 1 special. I thought well worth it. It was unlimited seafood, steak, deserts, Thai, and Chinese food. Lots of great cheeses and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. The regular price was 2,222 and for that, it was 1,111 per person. So, it was worth a try. It is also near my friends place so easy to go for them. I enjoyed the piano player during the brunch and stayed all the way till Brunch was over. We got our money's worth.
  19. I love Queens. Astoria is full of great food. Some of my favorite restaurants are there. The Lebanese and Greek restaurants are amazing.
  20. Yes, we can all buy today! 40 million baht minimum. https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/2347033/thailand-to-offer-land-ownership-to-lure-wealthy-foreigners
  21. No, I am not. I am also not the only one that remembers you from bygone years. You were banned in 2014 from here and from other sites. I advocated for your return with the condition that you be watched and that if other screen names that appeared to cause issues, the ban would be reinstated. From before, at least 3 or 4 other names from you at one time. Again, I would love to know why someone does this. I don't get it. Truly. If you have a name Kjun, why not keep all posts with that name? Is there really any other need for another?
  22. My typical go to for a good Sunday Brunch is the Intercontinental Hotel. It has a great brunch on Sunday and the seafood is excellent. But, it is closed for renovations. I have a friend flying in from Spain this week and I wanted to treat to a nice Sunday Brunch. Any recommendations?
  23. Z, I did mean Moonlight. I'm old and get confused. Sex? It was OK. Not great and not horrible. Just average. But, when you have something in your mind and have an itch, you want to scratch it.
  24. Yes, but sometimes good things are worth it as a treat. For example, the "stars" at Dreamboy ask a lot but once every few years, I'll indulge. During Covid lockdown, I was pretty lucky as they were working as much and were willing to see an old man.
  25. First bar: Screwboys (they opened back up for @numazu)
