I have had a few life altering changes with regards to jobs and work. The latest is I have not really worked a "regular" job for over 15 years. The past October, a friend in LA who owns his own company asked me to work for him. I was not interested at all but he made the deal so sweet for me that I could not refuse. It was not the money that was sweet but the benefits and I took him up on the offer. I now have an office job several days a week and have a staff of people that report to me. The job mostly relates to SEO and Social Media so it is something I am very interested in but I never thought I'd be working for someone again for a long period of time. I have done consulting work for years but that is mostly a week to a month at the most. So, this one has really thrown me for a loop. I figured since the economy is so bad, even for porn guys, that I'd give it a try. So far it is worked well. It just means I have less time to enjoy what I thought was my retirement. I do understand the point of casinos. If that is an addiction, it must be hard to move away from as that is where your income has been procured for a few years. Having an addictive personality myself, I can relate but not sure I'd have the ability to leave something that was prosperous for me. I wish you luck in your new direction. That being said, have you decided where you are headed? What kind of work you will do?

Thanks Jim. I appreciate it. I had looked into a few programs in Bangkok a while ago and may look again. The older I get the less desire I have to return to school. But, it is a good option. I much prefer to just retire and not work or do anything (other than bar hop) but I'll have to come up with something for 5 years until I get to the retirement age. FH, I was thinking more along the lines of teaching Thai Sexuality: A Hands On Approach. The course would be limited to males over 18 who are Thai nationals and undergone a professor private physical exam.

My niece and nephew are really enjoying the Hunger Games as they read all the books in this series. They also loved Harry Potter and grew up with those books. I just saw the Greek myths movie about Perseus and the gods. It was just OK but as I loved the myths when I was younger, I still enjoyed the movie. If I could choose anyone one book that I want to see being made into a movie, it would be The Giver. I loved the book so much but I didn't read it until I was an adult. If I had to pick a book from my childhood, I'll have to ask for the ENTIRE Wizard of Oz series. There were many books from that group and I loved them all. I feel in love with the characters and never forgot them. (I would have said the Hobbit) but it is on the way this December).

Who gets your vote for the best Star Trek captain? What is it about them that puts them at the top of the list? Most of us grew up watching this show. Or, at least some of us did. I was always a big fan. My vote will sadden some but I have to vote for Jean-Luc Picard. I found him sexy!

haha Not sure how that happens buddy! I have gone to the wrong apartment in MY building several times. I keep forgetting to push the right elevator button and it goes to wrong floor and they all look the same so I try my key, get frustrated and then think, "oh shit." and run down the hall.

Beautiful photos! Thank you for sharing. It really reminded me of my first trip to Thailand. I went there with a professional photographer and he was taking tons of photos. We went to every Orchid farm that we could find and since we were there for a long holiday, we had time to take tons of pics. Here are some from me from that trip. His was more pro but I can't post without his permission.

I am still about 5 years away from retirement age and one of the frustrating things about traveling to Thailand is the visa I have to get. Last year I got a One Year business visa but I still had to do border runs every 90 days. It is a real PITA. What is the best way for someone not of retirement age to live there legally and not have to do the border runs?

I have been to all the ones listed but the one in Budapest. I should give it a try though as I'll be in Prague later this year.

A friend from USA is staying on that soi in the new Starwoods property and he went there yesterday and it was still closed. I hope it opens soon!

I left and walked away from a ATM card in Thailand a few years back and didn't even know it. A cute Thai lady came up on me about 5 minutes away on Motorbike and was yelling at me. I pulled over and she gave me my card. I couldn't believe she was so nice. I did give her a reward but I felt horrible that I didn't even notice it was gone. I rarely loose my cards now, but I seem to loose my glasses often. Not sure how that is even possible as I need them, but it has happened several times. I did not know it was possible to get an ATM card reactivated. I thought when removed, it was dead. That is news for me. Thanks.
