Canada’s prostitution laws unconstitutional, court rules
TotallyOz replied to a topic in The Beer Bar
Prostitution is illegal in Thailand as well. Those bar boys and bar girls are not going off for sex. They are going off to have dinner and a movie. -
It sounds like a good plan! The BF does have cousins. But, even if he didn't, he would say he did to introduce you to his friends. Plus, I'll have to tell you the story of how me met one day. It is a doozie!

I needed a few more nights for the year so I did book a conference room last week. I got my 10 nights. I was surprised. But, according to most, this works. If you only have a few nights left to make your elite status, check out this flyer talk info. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marriott-rewards/1121221-platinum-status-eight-days-800-no-stays-required.html

I am not sure how it can be prevented until all young people realize that it is OK to be gay. We have some a long way but there is so much more to do. I think Freedom of sexuality and acceptance of ones thoughts and desires is critical in a healthy life and world. I also believe that when others accept gays and gays accept themselves the world will be better for all especially children. Today's culture pounds into their head that bigotry and intolerance and hate is acceptable. You hear it on TV. You see it in school. It is part of our country and IMHO, we have become a more conservative society and we are going in the wrong direction.

LOL I break up with him and leave the country in a huff just to return for the make up sex. It is something to die for!

Thank you! Cheers back! I did have a very similar journey. I grew up in Alabama and in a very conservative family. I was expected to play sports, ride horses and love fishing. Instead, I played in the band, rode boys and loved porn. I guess I didn't meet my families expectations. I was lucky to have a fantastic mother who accepted me for whoever I was and whatever I did. I would not have made it otherwise. I did try to blend in with the southern Christian lifestyle for 28 years. I dated girls, studied to become a minister and went on missionary campaigns. It was all part of my growing toward acceptance. My first missionary trip overseas was to Scotland. I was only 16 and the rest of the group was in 20s - 40's. They let me have a room to my own. We stopped over in London and I slipped out at night. I found a handsome man who eyed me (you know, the gay eyes thing) and I followed him. It was my first gay bar. I was mortified when they all looked at me. But, I did go in anyway and I had sex in the bar with a guy. Of course, I felt guilty and thought I should be punished. I also did think about suicide often. It was on my mind constantly until I came out. It was so hard to live a life that was a lie. When I came out, I said I would never lie to my family again. I haven't.

Hey, how the hell did I get pulled into this? That is really off topic. And, the motor scooters were not cheap BTW. One was a red 400cc.

I'd have to go with Mike Stefano. That crush I had on him never got the attention it deserved.

This area now links to the wrong topics as we changed our forum and upgraded to the newest version. This upgrade changed all of our url's. We will be working to get all these links back up ASAP. Thank you for your patience.

I do realize that hard feelings exist over the contest. It turned into a mess. We tried our best to come up with a solution that would work for all and it had the opposite effect. Not much we can do about it now other than to apologize and move forward. I am not sure what heavy handed tactics you are referring to when you state that we made posts invisible that were critical of the board or of GT. Please give me some examples. It is common with most message boards that a handful of posters make the majority of the posts. Gaybutton was the most active poster on this board for years and he is now concentrating on his own board. We wish him well and have only nice things to say about his board. I have tested this on 5 different browsers and I didn't have to log in to see the posts on any of them. I can not seem to replicate your issue. I suggest you clear your cache on your browser and try again. Or, try another browser and see if you get the same results. The board is totally open for anyone to view regardless of being logged in or not logged in. It would be crazy to have it any other way. If that is happening, it is not our intent. However, I feel this may be an individual issue with your browser.

A good interview with one of the accusers. http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/iteam/bishop-eddie-long-accuser-talks-jamal-parris-20100928-es

I like both of them!

I do not quite understand how we have failed. Perhaps you can give some specific examples? The site is getting new members every day. Our Facebook ads were a success. Our Alexa and Google rankings keep going up. We just updated the entire forum software without any downtime. We are disappointed with the lack of posts on the forum but we are happy with the direction of the site. We are here for a long time and will keep working hard to make the site a success.

For those of you that missed it, here are some photos from the boy!

It is a temporary one I am sure. I just thought it was cute. Perhaps we can all put our heads together and help TY find an avatar that is perfect for him!

I guess you are right. I am not sure how much it says about humanity but perhaps a great deal of those trained for war. I have family in the military and I respect what they do for this country. I wish there was more training and supervision of our troops in times of war. And, we weren't meant to be in war this long. I blame this on our leaders.

I was at a many hotels recently and in a few of them I noticed the date on the HoHo's were out of date. I wasn't happy about that and I didn't eat them. Same thing happened to me today and I was tired of this so I went to the front desk. I said: Hey, look, I am a paying customer in your fine hotel and I want my fucking HoHo's. Seriously, I just asked why all the snacks that are perishable are out dated (some of the others you could see the dates). She said that some of the delivery companies do this on purpose. They take the old ones and put behind some new ones and hope people don't notice. They will then take the ones they swapped out and sell them. It adds money to the deliver man's pocket. She told me this and I had never heard this before. She said that they have complained to the company so much that one letter from me and they would switch vendors. Has anyone heard of shit like this happening? I mean, seriously, who messes with your hoho's?

Maurice (1987) - EM Forster's blast from my past
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
It is interesting that Forster's retreat into imagination is such a part of many of us who are gay. I remember my imagination carrying me through some very dark days in my youth and were it not for my dreams, my writing, my poetry, I am not sure how I would have survived those years. I think this escape into the arts is part of what has drawn me to so many of my lifelong friends as they were in the same world I was in at one point or another. -
I think the politics forum is important and I enjoy reading it. I don't often participate there as I feel some of my opinions may cause problems as I am way far left of most people here.

Were you just listening to my conversation? jk I agree with you. Most think I am nuts when I tell how many times I have bought my Thai boyfriend a new motorbike. It is now almost like an anniversary present. The people over there think I am insane for believing his BS. But, it is the great presentation of the BS that I reward.
