  1. I will be heading out of the country soon and wonder if it is a better rate to get Baht changed at the airport in Bangkok or the ones in the USA? I also would not mind going to a local bank in LA or NYC but would like to change the at the airport. Are there major differences in changing in Thailand or the USA?
  2. I was going to sell my Motorbike on Friday as I expect to be away from gay Thailand for an extended holiday. I went to Immigration and got all the paperwork together. They needed copies of my passport, visa, and house papers. You also need 2 photos. The cost is 200 baht. All this was just as I expected. What I didn't know was that I was going to sell the motorbike on the day I was leaving and my visa expired. The motorbike shop said they were not able to buy the bike unless more days were on the visa. I didn't understand this at all but the rule is that in order to sell, they need enough time on the Visa in order to process the paperwork themselves. Thus, if you are leaving soon, you need to make sure you make the arrangements to sell in advance or make sure you have your Visa several days past the day you wish to sell. I had to go back to Immigration, renew my Visa (1900 baht) and then do all the paperwork over again to sell the motorbike. A real PITA. Just a heads up for those of you like me who don't plan too far in advance!
  3. I was going to go to a few bars last night as I have only a short time left in Gay Thailand. I thought I would hit the majority of the bars last night in Soi Sunee and tomorrow night in Boyztown. When I got to the bars last night (around 10:30 or so), all the boys were gone and the mamasan said she was sorry but they were expecting a raid and thus all the boys left. It left for a pretty bare stage in several bars. Does anyone know if a raid actually happened?
  4. My favorite Thai restaurant in Pattaya keeps adding to their menu. Just in the past few days, they have added Salmon with mashed potatoes and a salad to their menu. The Salmon is prepared with a nice sauce on the top. The mashed potatoes are great. The cost is 199 baht for a nice portion of Salmon. Salt and Pepper Restaurant in Soi Day Night 2 just keeps getting better and better. The place is run well with a great staff and great prices! It is one of the few places I'll miss when I leave LOS for an extended holiday.
  5. The Corner Bar is the home of the White Sox guys. This place has been improving for many years. When the former owner took it over, he did a fantastic job at getting the place spotless and nice. The remodel effort was fantastic. When the new owners took over they started offering food. What a brilliant idea. The food is fantastic and there is no other place in Sunee that can compete with their Cheeseburgers. I also like their Chicken Platter and Onion Rings. The Corner Bar is one of the best places in Sunee to eat. They will also deliver to all the other bars if you have a place that you need to sit to talk to that special boy. With the Corner Bar and the new YaYa across the street and then the amazing Come In Bar next door, this area is fantastic. Now if someone would only open up a GoGo bar next door!
  6. I spent an evening at Mike's LaCage a few nights ago and really enjoyed it. The place is clean and the waiters are fun. The prices during their happy hour are the best in town. It is 2 for 1 during certain hours. I have not spent time in Mike's in years and was glad I stopped by. If you are in Sunee and like a fem boy, drop by Mike's and have a drink.
  7. Took home a guy last night who made me think he was going to be fantastic. Instead, he was like a fish. Dead in bed. Does not kiss, smoke, or anything else. Basically only wants to JO. Since we had discussed what I wanted before and told him not to come over unless he was able to do something, I was greatly disappointed. After about 5 minutes in the bed, I realized that he would not be worth it so I asked him to leave. Would you have given him any money? What amount would you consider appropriate if any?
  8. I didn't see it. It wasn't posted here. It is irrelevant to me. I don't read the other site often and when threads get long and look like a pissing contest, I avoid them. I like posts that actually give information as opposed to those that are meant to destroy. People fuck up. It happens all the time. Sometimes you can't just apologize and move forward as quickly as you like. But, time and persistence heals all wounds. I have made MANY mistakes and done some pretty nasty shit in my youth. Thank goodness that people have hearts to forgive and move forward. Honestly, I have no idea the drama you have gone through and like TY, there is no need to explain to me. You have a totally fresh start with me as well. I am sure many others feel the same. Welcome. I hope that you are able to participate in this site in a positive way that enhances yourself and the issues that are important to you.
  9. I use Door 2 Door often. They are normally pretty good. Their website is often incorrect and does not show the correct items and many things they say they offer they don't. In essence, they don't know how to update their website. Today, I ordered from them and nothing came. After an hour, I called them and was told: Internet Not Work for Orders for over 2 Days. I asked why they didn't put a sign on the site saying this. She said, we don't know how to do Internet Mister. It would be nice if they can't take orders via the Internet to let customers know on the site or via e-mail after an order is placed. Instead, a delivery confirmation e-mail was sent. Get it together Door 2 Door.
  10. Bangkok is an amazing city to spend time in. Read This: http://www.maleescortreview.com/forum/index.php?/topic/4801-gay-bangkok-and-gay-thailand/ Off fees for boys (taking them from the bar) are about 300-400 baht. The tip that is expected in Bangkok averages about 1500 baht for a short time to around 2,000 baht for an overnight. These prices are good for most of the bars on the gay street. If you go to some other ones, the cost is 500 less. If you get from GayRomeo, the rate is about 1,000 baht for the short time. Fees in other cities are less than in Bangkok. Hotels also vary in Bangkok. You can get a decent accommodation for about 1500 baht a night if you are staying in a local place. Many of the gay men that travel here stay at the The Tarntawan Place which is close to the gay area. They also like the Malaysia Hotel and the Pinnacle Hotel. I like the Babylon Sauna Bed and Breakfast as it is an amazing sauna experience if you like that. The Tarntawan Place 119/5-10 Surawong Road Bangkok 10500 Tel: +66-2-238-2620 Fax: +66-2-238-3228 Email: tarntawan@tarntawan.com, Website: http://www.tarntawan.com Malaysia Hotel 54 Soi Ngamduplee, Rama 4 road, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120 Tel: +66 2 679 7127 thru 36 Fax: +66 2 287 1457 Food can be done cheap. You can spend anywhere from 100 baht for a meal that is decent to 200-300 baht. If you go to a well-known chain, it will be more. Dick's Cafe in Soi Twilight is great and reasonable. Dick's Café Bangkok Duangthawee Plaza 894 / 7- 8 Soi Pratoochai Surawong Road, Bangkok Tel: (66) 0-2637 0078 http://www.dickscafe.com Telephone Pub, Silom Soi 4 Tel. 11. Yes, I doubt it too. It would be nice if we ever did the right thing as opposed to caving in to our allies or those we need oil from. I wish they would send me to Canada. I love their compassion as well.
  12. Before GoDaddy I used RegistarFly a lot. They went belly up and had their status pulled from ICANN. That left a shit load of people out of access to names. It was a domain nightmare for those of us in the domain business. It took me over a month to finally get all my names moved and that was only after I promised to show up at the CEO's house over the weekend to discuss this with him.
  13. I have no doubt that this and more will be possible. Only with the new IPad, I can see the wave is going toward these devices and I wonder how fast things like this will be made?
  14. My pooches are well cared for. I admire anyone who really takes care of and loves their dog. Cookie and Snow are the names of two of the cutest little pooches around.
  15. If needed, I'd be happy to rub some sun block on him.
  16. Stunning!

Well, I read the post 4 times to try to get my butch gear in drive. It didn't work. Sorry.
  18. I agree that it is the best I have seen. Too many amazing contestants. Simply amazing. They have done a slam dunk on Idol. No way for them to compete (talent wise).
  19. Seymour Pine, the deputy police inspector who led the raid on the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in Greenwich Village, on a hot summer night in 1969 — a moment that helped start the gay liberation movement — died Thursday at an assisted-living center in Whippany, N.J. He was 91. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/08/nyregion/08pine.html?_r=2&hpw

  21. Saudi diplomat says that he is gay and if returned to Saudi Arabia he will be tortured. His diplomatic passport was revoked when they found he was gay and friends with a Jew. Will America get this asylum case right? Or, will they cave in and bend to the will of the people who want him returned? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39118941/ns/world_news-mideastn_africa/
  22. "The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'" -- Jerry Falwell (9/13/01)
  23. The world's largest registrar of domain names is having a sale. It is selling itself. Analysis expect it to go for over 1 billion dollars. I am sure this sale will attract many offers. I just hope that the new owners don't screw up a good site that offers good deals to customers. http://www.cnbc.com/id/39104715
  24. I thought my request for clarification for the menu bar at the bottom would let you know that it was going to be worked on. But, it will not be over a weekend. The programmers have families, loved ones and other commitments. I put a note in to them to work on it. But, just in case I missed other issues, can someone list the ones I have not addressed?
