The low season in Thailand has really taken a toll this year more than any that I can remember. There are still amazing gogo guys that are available. The bars are not as packed as previous years and there are many guys that have just went home for the season. That said, the massage parlors have been booming in LOS. They have sexy guys all the time and they seem to always be able to full-fill any need. My favorite place has become Hero on Sukamvit Soi 11. I also like B and N on Soi 12. Both are great places with sexy guys. My favorite bar is X Boys and Dream Boys. Tawan has gone downhill as has Future Boys. There are tons of hotel bargains to be found in Thailand right now. There are also so many guys that you will not know what to do. For those of you that have never been to a gogo bar in Thailand, think of Stock on its busiest night. That is about the number of guys at one of the smaller places here will have. I went to Future Boys on Saturday and they had about 90 guys. That is much less than I have seen there but still a great selection.

The sentence of Aung San Suu Kyi to house arrest was not a surprise to anyone. The military commanders could have sentenced her to 5 years of prison. They did not. Some have suggested that this is a softer tone to what could have been a hard prison term. I disagree. I thought this is exactly what they would do. Having been to Burma many times, I can tell you that the people there are wonderful! I hope that soon they will get out of the hands of these military leaders and be allowed to interact with the world. I am disappointed that Thailand did not condemn the ruling as so many other leaders have done. The Thai government has more influence there than anyone other than China.

There is one bar in Bangkok that I rarely have interest in and that is Jupiter. The reason is I have been lied to so many times by the mamasans there and management that I have refused to go there. I broke my vow tonight and went. I will say that have some very sexy guys. They had about 30 plus very hot guys. I wanted to test this gym as I have heard great things about it from people I have met in Bangkok. I went there in the early afternoon one day, one evening during peak hours and one morning. At no time was there every too many people there to work out. It was fairly quiet and relaxing the entire time. Unlike California Wow, there is no loud boom boom music. It is a much more relaxing atmosphere to exercise in. Upon entry, they will supply you with a shirt and shorts and towel for working out. (yes, that had all sizes even for a big man like me) All you need is your shoes. The bathrooms are so clean you want to walk barefoot and very nicely decorated with a wonderful steam room and dry heat room. The lockers are made of wood and each have a key. There was always several attendants on staff in the bathroom. They offer free sodas and coffee to members. The juice bar is not free but very nice. The equipment at Fitness First is in excellent condition and all were easy to use. I did have a few questions and they had a staff of trainers to answer everything. The cost to join normally varies according to the length of time you contract for. But, normally around 10k bath to join PLUS 2500 a month for membership. Of course, when you refuse, they will offer you free joiners and try to get you to stay. For the monthly, you need a CC for them to take off every month. The gym is mostly Asian and I didn't see many "white" foreigners. They have these places all over Asia so I did run into several from Singapore and Hong Kong. They were pretty well off Thais to stay at this place and it had the air that they knew it as well. The class are Les Mills and excellent. They are the same classes as offered at California Wow. If you don't mind the money are not looking looking for bathroom steam room sex (rampant at some of the California places I have seen) then this place is for you. I have heard about problems with Yaba and many other drugs in Thailand. I have seen X in the clubs and even cocaine. I bought an Amazon Kindle before I left the USA and downloaded all the John Burdett books on it they had to offer. First, I am enjoying the Kindle a great deal. It is perfect for taking to the pool for reading while drying off or to the beach. It is great for a bus trip or a taxi ride as it is so small and easy to fit into anything. It has a great deal of gay books to offer for download and I have downloaded about 100 books that have been on my to do list. The only real problem with it is I have not found a way to download books in Thailand yet as it is not a wifi but it works over ATT's Whisper network. It will not download anything new in Thailand. That means that I had to have it all downloaded before I came here. Luckily I did but there are other books I want and have not found a way to download them. Anyone else found a workaround for this? The Bangkok 8 books are great fun. It delves into the underworld of Bangkok and branches out to Pattaya and beyond. It is an interesting read if you have never read any of his books. I would recommend them to you. I don't want to give anything away for his books but suffice to say, there is a bit of gay life involved in the books as well. Not a lot, but some.
