  1. I am just at a total loss for words. What a fucking idiot this man is. The obvious choice was Hillary but he didn't have the balls enough to put her on the ticket. For the first time in my adult life, I don't think I'll have the balls enough to vote for a Republican but refuse to vote for Obama, so I am now at a loss as to what to do other than have great sex the day I am suppose to vote and sit my fat ass at home and watch the tele.
  2. I have moved those postings into the Buffet and they are still there. All Craig's List topics about escorts can be discussed in the Buffet. I also removed the Leisure Class forum as there were no postings in it. Just trying to clean up the board a bit.
  3. Not to my knowledge but I will check it out.
  4. No, my school did not make me gay. But, the football team most certainly helped speed things along.
  5. Gary Glitter was in prison in Vietnam for 3 years for child molestation. He was released and flew to Thailand on a flight that was to connect him to UK. He refused to board the flight. Thailand refused him entry. He flew to Hong Kong. Hong Kong refused him entry. He flew back to Thailand and was again refused entry. He is now back in UK. The saga lasted many days and was major news in Asia. Here are a few stories about this. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/...t-standoff.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...cqui-Smith.html
  6. Having spent a great amount of time in Thailand, I can tell you that the people here have no idea how rich this man is. They all think he is poor and just is here to help the people. He is beloved by all in the country. They see him as almost Godly. You cannot speak ill of him in the country without arrest. Just an FYI NEW YORK (AFP) - With a fortune estimated at 35 billion dollars, Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej is the world's richest royal sovereign, and oil-rich Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi is far back at No. 2, Forbes magazine reported Thursday. King Bhumibol, 80 and, at 62 years on the throne the world's longest-serving head of state, pushed to the top of the richest royals list by virtue a greater transparency surrounding his fortune, Forbes said. It said that the Crown Property Bureau, which manages most of his family's wealth, "granted unprecedented access this year, revealing vast landholdings, including 3,493 acres in Bangkok." Forbes called it a good year for monarchies, investment-wise. "As a group, the world's 15 richest royals have increased their total wealth to 131 billion dollars, up from 95 billion last year," Forbes said on its website. With oil prices soaring, the monarchs of the petro-kingdoms of the Middle East and Asia dominate the list. Sheik Khalifa, 60, the current president of the United Arab Emirates, was estimated to be worth 23 billion dollars, on the back of Abu Dhabi's huge petroleum reserves. In third was the sovereign of the world's biggest oil exporter, Saudi Arabia. King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, 84, who inherited the Al-Saud family throne in 2005, came in with a fortune of 21 billion dollars. The previous king of kings, wealth-wise, 62 year old Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of tiny, oil-endowed Brunei on the Southeast Asia island of Borneo, fell to fourth place with 20 billion dollars. "The sultan, who inherited the riches of an unbroken 600-year-old Muslim dynasty, has had to cut back on his country's oil production because of depleting reserves," Forbes explained of his dwindling fortune. Fifth was Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, 58, of another Emirate, Dubai, with a net worth of 18 billion dollars. One of two Europeans on the list, Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein, 63, ranked six on the list with 5 billion dollars in wealth. However the bank that is a key source of his family's wealth, LGT, is under investigation by the United States for helping wealthy people evade taxes. Qatar's Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, 56, came in at seventh, worth two billion dollar; eighth was King Mohammed VI of Morocco, 46, his 1.5 billion dollar fortune based on phosphate mining, agriculture and other investments. Number nine was Prince Albert II of Monaco, 50, his diverse fortune in the southern European principality put at 1.4 billion dollars. Tenth on the list was Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, 67, worth 1.1 billion dollars. Rounding out the top 15 were: The Aga Khan Prince Karim Al Hussein, 71 (1.0 billion); Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, 82, 650 million dollars; Kuwait's Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, 79, 500 million dollars; Queen Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard of the Netherlands, 70, 300 million dollars; and King Mswati III of Swaziland, 40, with 200 million dollars. Forbes noted that because many of the royals inherited their wealth, share it with extended families, and often control it "in trust for their nation or territory," none of those on its list would qualify for the magazine's famous annual world billionaires ranking. "Because of technical and idiosyncratic oddities in the exact relationship between individual and state wealth, these estimates are perforce a blend of art and science," it added. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080821/en_af...lthpeopleroyals
  7. The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete... Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. If you don't send this to at least 8 people....Who cares? George Carlin
  8. A lazy drive home from a weekend auto show turned into a stomach-churning experience at the Canada-US border for an Ottawa couple. It was a sunny Monday afternoon, Jun 16. Rick Frenette and his partner Shawn were returning from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, snaking through the Eastern US to the border at the Thousand Islands, near Kingston. Both avid car buffs, they were towing their latest project, a vintage Bricklin, home. But a problem with the car's paperwork led Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) officers to pull the pair in for an extra inspection. "We didn't think there would be anything other than the normal questions, but there was," Rick says. "They went through our entire truck. They did not go through our toiletries, which we were surprised about, but they opened up the laptop, and I guess one of the icons said 'porn' on it." While the gay men watched, a CBSA agent sat in their truck and poked through the contents of the laptop. When he ran into locked material, he got the passwords from them. Rick and Shawn say that, in retrospect, it was a slapdash search. The laptop was combed, but not their cell phones, Shawn's Blackberry, or the loose burned CDs in the truck's glove compartment. The CBSA officers went into their office. Time ticked by as Rick and Shawn pondered what to do next. About an hour later, a CBSA officer came back with bad news. "He came back and said 'We're going to have to confiscate the laptop.' I asked why. He said it had 'questionable material,'" says Rick. The "questionable material" was gay porn. In particular, the CBSA officer pointed to a video that showed light watersports. The pair's video collection wasn't any more racy than the videos you can buy at porn shops in Canada, they say. Among the movies on their laptop were home videos of the couple having sex. According to those close to the CBSA, it not an uncommon story. And as the Supreme Court of Canada has pointed out in the Little Sister's bookstore case, porn that would be perfectly legal to make, sell and possess in Canada is often stopped at the border. Academic papers, fictions, letters and correspondence, bootlicking pictures, family photos — it can all get you in trouble. Joe Arvay, the lead lawyer in the Little Sister's case, said in 2006 that up to 70 percent of porn seized by the CBSA is gay or lesbian material. A trip to the US is normal weekend fare for Rick and Shawn, and they say they've never had trouble with the border guards before. But now they want to spread the word to other gays and lesbians to leave their laptops at home when they're travelling. "Mostly, we want to let people know they shouldn't have any pornographic material, period," says Rick. "It's just a pissoff. People aren't aware of it." Jim Deva thinks that it's more than just a pissoff. He spent 20 years before the courts fighting for Little Sister's Bookstore to be able to import gay and lesbian erotica. "How is that going to protect us or keep us safe? What a waste of manpower! What a waste of the security state! Shouldn't they be looking for knives and guns? Wouldn't that be a better use of their time?" says Deva. Deva and the other staff at Little Sister's have become lightning rods for anecdotal complaints about the CBSA. He says most people don't fight the seizures because they're afraid of the consequences, often abandoning their computers with agency staff. "You don't want your name flagged when you cross the border. It is a major inconvenience. It's not just that you'd lose your laptop, it's that you can't fly into or connect in any American airports without a lot of hassle and so people ask themselves if it's worth it," he says. He says that Rick and Shawn's case is a typical example of overreach. Pornography isn't illegal to buy, own or make in Canada, and importing the material isn't illegal either. Historically, the CBSA has taken issue with both watersports and fisting, but both are theoretically okay. "They have no legal right to keep either of those," says Deva. "There is nothing wrong with watersports, it's not an obscene activity. It's something that lots of gay couples participate in. And fisting — our court case 10 years ago proved that fisting is not an obscene activity." "The whole thing is insane. So as long as the border services agency can keep it quiet, they can keep doing it." http://www.xtra.ca/public/viewstory.aspx?A...B_TEMPLATE_ID=9
  9. Sen. Barack Obama's choice for running mate will be announced to supporters in a text message Saturday morning, senior Obama campaign officials told CNN Friday night. Obama called some people on his short list for the vice presidential slot Thursday night to tell them he had not selected them as a running mate, a highly placed Democratic Party source said. Sources close to Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine said he has been informed he was not selected. One source told CNN that Obama personally made the call to Kaine. Another source said Kaine has flown to Denver, Colorado, for the Democratic National Convention. It is not known who else may have gotten calls. However, late Friday two Democratic sources confirmed that Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh is also out of the running. Rep. Chet Edwards said Friday that the campaign had vetted him but that he hasn't talked to Obama. Edwards, 56, is a nine-term congressman representing the Central Texas district that includes President Bush's ranch near Crawford. This month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi touted Edwards as a dark horse contender for the No. 2 spot on the ticket. The presumptive Democratic nominee was working Friday in Chicago, Illinois, on his address for the convention. He will launch a string of rallies with his running mate on Saturday in Springfield, Illinois. Obama said Thursday that he had made his decision but declined to give further details. Obama has told some other potential running mates over the past few weeks that he would not be choosing them, the Democratic source said. http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/22...a.vp/index.html

    Hey, I like Danny DeVito!
  11. Nope. Not in the least. It worries me he has my name tattooed on his chest right where his heart is. I think he said that the tradition here is that when you tattoo a name on your heart, that shopping privileges extend for the life of the tattoo.
  12. I placed an order with BodyBuilding.com for some protein bars. The order was over 500 USD. They declined to take the order as the address was in Thailand and they said they get too many fraudulent orders from here. They said they would ship if I did a direct deposit into their bank or Western Union them the money. They will not ship to this country any other way. Amazon.com limits what it ships here. Do you find it hard to get companies online to ship here?
  13. One of my boyspecial's mothers sent us a box of food she had cooked and it was delivered via postal service today. She sent it because she wanted her son to have some home cooking and wanted me to try some of their local cuisine. First, I am leery to eat anything that is not from a reliable place. Second, I don't like eating something new to me. Third, I just don't want to try it all. Am I obliged to try it? Or, can I weasel out of it easily?
  14. The boyfriend and his 3 friends slept over last night. We went to the movie around 9:30 and were home by 12:30 after a McDonald's meal. They were not drunk and all were asleep by 2am. At 10 this morning I had 3 sets of work crews into my place for work. Hammering, sawing, making the most awful noise you ever heard. Each of the boys were in the adjacent room. Not one of them work up. Not one of them heard the bell for the gate. Not one heard the phone. Not one heard the hammers and the air pump machine. Not one moved an inch. For over 2 hours work was hard and loud and yet all slept though it. I hear the crack of the floor and the sound of a cricket. They seem to be able to sleep though anything.
  15. BTW: They don't call this the Land of Smiles for no reason. The guys here have the most amazing smiles on earth.
  16. I have been trying to teach the boyfriend photography and he is doing a nice job with it. It is the first time I have seen him taken an interest in something (other than shopping). This is a pic of one of his friends. He is over 18 years old and there are no nude photos as the law in Thailand forbids that. However, as you can see, there are many sexy boys here. This boy use to work in Sunee Plaza but now is "retired" and lives with family in his city and works security.
  17. I am looking for a good health food store that has good vitamins and protein bars. The only place I have found so far is GNC in Tops on 2nd Road. Their selection was very limited. Any suggestions? I ordered some from the USA and they will be delivered to me here but the Import Tax on them was over 300 dollars which doubles the price. Any advice?
  18. In the new rebuild, we are considering an area on the escorts profile for Comments about this escort. This is not in place of a review but a place for friends and admirers to add comments. Do you think this is a good idea?
  19. I stumbled upon a boy I knew worked in Sunee a few years back. I saw him on a motorcycle with his friend. I asked him former mamasan about him and without a name to give it was hard to describe him. I was no help in the description. A boy, Dark completed, Thai, wears a hat. Not too tall, not too short. Worked for years. He never really captured my attention on a stage with underwear on but in full attire, he looked like a model stepping off of a runway. So, I asked about him with little information. An hour later, he arrives in the bar I was drinking in and came to say hello to me. As he had only had a drink with me in the past, I am not sure if he even knew me. But, we got to know each other a bit better last night. Thanks to a good memory of a mamasan and the knowledge that a generous tip would be given if the right boy appeared. Do you ever just get in your mind one boy and can't seem to get him off your mind until you see him again? Happens to me on occasion.
  20. I had a friend who said there was an all you can eat buffet at the Dusit. Anyone been? Enjoyed it? Is it every night?
  21. I took a boy to see Coyote off of Soi Lucky Star. It is a girl bar. Unlike the girl bars on Walking Street, these ladies were hot and sexy. One thing I really loved about the place was they sold ping pong balls for 20 bath each. When you saw a girl on stage you liked, you threw her the ball and she could cash it in for the money later in the evening. It was a very fun way to tip the girls and when I open my first bar, I will have to do this as I did find it enjoyable. There is really no boy bar that compares to the energy level in the girl bars. The customers were all having fun and the girls really did seem to enjoy themselves and they ALL knew how to dance. Why are there no gay bars that have as much energy? Why can't they get the customers so excited and engaged in the show? I just wonder about this. I do not think that going to a girl bar is a must see for a gay man. I am totally gay but I occasionally enjoy these bars and the girls there. It is a nice break from the boy bars where one just sits and oogles.
  22. If you like the blues, then The Blues Factory Pattaya is a must see. It is right off of Walking Street and in the middle of several girl bars. It is NOT a girl bar with bar girls. It is a live music show that starts around 9:30 at night and goes until around 4AM or so. The blues are at 9:30 and I think a rock band comes on at 12:30. I didn't stay for the rock portion of the show. BUT The blues group was WONDERFUL. They played great live music. The lady singer is excellent and talented. You cannot have a bad time here unless you only joy in life is seeing a gogo boy on stage. There are guys on stage here but they are musicians and not offable. Although, you might be able to convince them to have a drink with you. I grew up on Etta James. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etta_James Her voice drove me mad when I was young and growing up in the deep south, I really love Blues as well as Jazz. The lady singer at the Blues Factory in Pattaya is great and sang a few of Etta's songs. It really did bring me back to my childhood. I had a Thai boy with me and he had a wonderful time. I did have to explain some of the songs to him as he heard the words but didn't understand the nuances built into them. When I told him what the song actually meant, he laughed and started clapping along with everyone. I have to thank my friends for pushing me to go to this place. I plan to make it a regular stop. I also hope that many of you will step out of the gay areas and see this place. It is a sure fire good time. http://thebluesfactorypattaya.com/
  23. Driving home late last night on my motorcycle, I saw a few accidents. I wondered what the hell I was doing on a 1k dollar bike that can crash and burn at the drop of a hat and how much safety there really was on a cheap bike as opposed to being in a car. I don't have the answer but I do wonder when my time will come to have the accident and how bad it will be. A friend of mine and I had a lengthy discussions about helmets last month. This is a summary of the conversation. Thanks to him for all the info and advice as he saw me drive off with a loose helmet his e-mail to me remind me of how dangerous it was here: This is very informative: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/...view/index.html I can summarize the main things I learned in my helmet reading/research last year... A 'cheap' helmet can provide the same protection as an expensive one. The protection comes from the foam liner (inexpensive material), not the shell. Expensive ones offer comfort extras, better venting for long rides, nicer finishes and so forth, but aren't necessarily "safer." Most head impacts occur to areas of the head that the little hat-type helmets you see here (and which you were wearing when I saw you) do not cover. Full-face helmets offer significantly more protection than open-face. Securing any helmet to your head is vital for it to work. The loose chinstrap (something else I noticed when you rode off) renders the helmet almost useless. In a study of crashes in Thailand, something like half the people who were wearing helmets had them fly off during the accident. High-visibility colors make helmets safer, by making you easier for other drivers to see. I bought a relatively expensive helmet to bring over and it pained me to pass up a really cool metallic gray in favor of a simple bright yellow, but I did. The full-face helmets I found here in Thailand are OK but lack one thing -- impact foam in the chin area (or at least the ones I saw did). Still, Crashes at "low speed" have more than enough energy to cause devastating head injuries. For example, if you were to hold your hands behind your back, standing still, and fall forward to smack your head into the pavement, that could be enough to seriously injure or kill you. The severity of head injuries increases as we get older. Injuries that a 20yo might recover from could far more easily kill someone in his 50s, for instance. You can get a perfectly good helmet in the states for under $100, entirely adequate for short trips around town here. Claims that people in helmets have more crashes because your vision and/or hearing is restricted are bullshit. (I find my full-face to feel far less confining than I'd expected it to be.) Likewise, claims that you are more likely to have a neck injury due to the weight of a helmet are also bullshit. The helmets you find here, if worn correctly (good snug fit, tightly secured) are fine. If you want a better one, they are hard to find in Thailand. Bikers here usually pick theirs up in Singapore. The "best" brands (Shoei, which I have, and Arai -- both Japanese) will be stolen if you don't look after them. One way to convince a Thai to wear a helmet consistently might be to buy him a "high status" helmet, but that costs some bucks. I've made a standing offer to the BF here that I'll buy him absolutely any helmet he wants if he promises to wear it. He has declined so far. I ended up getting this... http://www.shoei-helmets.com/road/helmets_road.aspx?h=13 It was far more money than I needed to spend, but I decided the flip-up feature would make me more likely to use it, and I saw some skepticism in the reviews that the cheaper flip-ups are built well enough. I very nearly bought a much cheaper, simple full-face one, and it would have been fine. Hope that's useful. Get a better helmet, and wear it properly!!!!!!
  24. Could it be because they didn't have a work permit and it is illegal to work there without one?
  25. BEVERLY HILLS, California (AP) -- There was much dancing: Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are married, according to reports. Ellen DeGeneres announced on her talk show that she would marry her girlfriend Portia de Rossi. In the biggest celebrity union since California legalized same-sex marriage, DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, wed Saturday night in an intimate ceremony at their Beverly Hills home, People and US Magazine reported. A publicist for DeGeneres confirmed People's report and gave no further comment. After the California Supreme Court's ruling in May, the talk-show host announced that she and de Rossi would wed after four years together. The ceremony was attended by 19 guests, including DeGeneres' mom, Betty, and de Rossi's mother, Margaret Rogers, who had flown in from Australia, People.com reported Saturday night. DeGeneres said after winning her fourth consecutive Daytime Emmy for talk show host in June that a date had not been set, and that she would show "a tiny bit" of the nuptials on her show. While opponents in California have gathered signatures to put a measure on the November ballot for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, Hollywood was throwing its support behind the newlyweds. "One of my favorite people of all time is Ms. Ellen DeGeneres," Katherine Heigl, star of "Grey's Anatomy," told Associated Press Television News at a Hollywood charity event on Saturday night. "So I wish all the best, all the happiness, all the joy that comes with that certificate ... just the joy of being able to stand up and say that. In front of everyone you love and care about in front of each other and to walk away legal is huge." Tila Tequila, whose dating reality show fame is built somewhat on her affinity for both men and women, passed along her good wishes -- with only one small complaint. "I love Ellen (DeGeneres); I watch her show all the time," Tequila told APTN. "I just want to say congratulations, and I am really sorry you didn't invite me to your wedding." http://edition.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/TV/08/...g.ap/index.html
