I did quarantine in BKK in December. Absolutely no visitors. You are in solitary for the full 15 days. Not even cleaners allowed in the room if you are in there. You have to go elsewhere while they clean.

I have been in Pattaya since the end of December. Nothing in Boyztown has been open, apart from Cupidol on the odd night. Walking through there is similar to walking through an unlit Mersey Tunnel! As nothing has opened since 1 February when bars were allowed to open again, I wonder whether it will ever be back in business.

My point is that the Telephone Bar message which you kindly posted said FULL food AND drinks menu. That implies alcohol.

The link above clearly says restaurants can open but no alcohol. So not a “full” food and drinks menu!

No such luck. They were fined 4000 baht each. Less than the cost of a nights good drinking!!

Ah so someone had dumped a Boeing 747 close behind this suspected public toilet somewhere near Siam @ Siam in downtown Pattaya... Nothing in Thailand surprises me any more.... However, I wonder what made you spot that fuselage just behind the urinal wall? We’re you using said Privy, or were you cruising, or are you just a closeted plane spotter?!

The Ladyboys probably came to Pattaya some years ago as real boys before “transforming”. That being the case they are probably scared stiff to return to their villages armed with a huge pair of tits and possibly no cock! The canopy appears to be attached to the steering? The left hand steering does not appear to be connected? No brakes? Only one pedal on each side? Different size front wheels?

Try this: Select “Activity”.....then in that little tiny hidden icon at the bottom of the page select “Search”. . Make sure that when you select Search you leave all the options for “other, date and now” deselected. It will then show you the ones currently logged in with a green dot and for those not logged in it gives the time last logged on in the top left corner of the profile. I get the feeling that many of the boys have returned to their farms and there are far less available on the apps at the moment. It stands to reason that if large numbers is hospitality workers have left Pattaya then a large number of boys will have gone too. I did a count up and of my “favourites” on the apps I calculate 70% have gone home. That’s probably why you are seeing so many who have not logged on for month or two. And they a have forgotten to delete their profiles. Maybe that’s also why ladyboys appear more prevelant?

I am now coming to the conclusion that Thai regulations are similar to market prices. You go to a market to buy something and there is no price on any of the goods. You make an offer, there is a counter offer, and another, and so it continues. Haggling. After all this Covid nonsense I’m sure the same applies...it being Thailand. One office invents a rule...it’s haggled by another..and another..and so it goes on. Eventually it reaches the Big Boss who makes a decision, overruling all the Hagglers. Numerous examples now exist: All restaurants closed New Years Eve.... All restaurants closed, except takeaway...nobody allowed in from the UK...All visa renewals require a covid test...and so it goes on. Each one overruled. Just wait until the Official Announcement. Other ones I have known over the years...Topman, All boys (Soi Yensabai), Look (Soi 17) Kaos, Sundance and another upstairs next to Forest House (TomYum?).

I went there last night (26 December). Should have been the height of the high season in normal times. I was the only customer and the “show” consisted of one bored boy at a time on the stage. I drank up and left.

I know this guy Chin too. Always very off hand and just ignores most of the customers. One night I was with some of his friends from his Sunnee bar (Diamond) and we bumped into him in Marine Disco in Walking Street. I bought him a drink and didn’t even get a thank you. I was just totally blanked. Really strange. A few years Previously I was thinking of an off with him but just couldn't break the ice. That, and his awful smoking habit, finished matters. Just as well! amazing how first impressions are always right. A lot of the problems discussed above I put down to the Thai trait which I call “Cling on”. Some guys just don’t get the message that you do not want to off them again and just won’t leave it alone. I could name a few ”Cling Ons” in Sunee!

So little mask wearing despite all the horrific warnings and the commentator implies the midnight closing is ignored too. hopefully it won’t be long before all is back to normal...and they let us back. TiT!
