A rainy Friday night so I headed over to Tawan, thinking there might be very few customers and the guys might  be eager for some tip money. Indeed, when I arrived at 10:15, there was exactly one customer inside. No show, so no cover charge. The guys were wearing street clothes, taking only their shirt off for the on-stage rotation, and looking bored to death. 

I announced that I would buy drinks for any naked boys and immediately had several takers. The only other customer took an off, which left me as the only customer, drinking with a bunch of naked guys. I said I wanted to see a show, so two of them got up on stage and sucked each other's cocks, licked each other all over, etc. It was great fun, they were very good sports about it, and it was much sexier without the silly costumes or masks they normally wear.  In the end, I tipped everybody who had participated, including the DJ and the bartender.

I dropped a couple of thousand baht, but it was worth it for what was essentially a private party, and everybody seemed grateful to have someone actually willing to engage with them. I have been lucky enough to still have work during the virus, so I don't mind sharing a little bit with those who are currently struggling, especially when I get a lot attention in return as I did on Friday. The guys in there have been very good to me over the years and so I was  happy to provide them with a little something during tough times.

I'll probably drop in again in a few weeks and do it again.

Yes, naked -- as in fully stark naked, full monty, whatever you want to call it. Some of the guys still work out every day and are quite buff, a couple of others not so much so.

Yes, I thought that too... It was during a conversation with Pan, the manager; I asked him about condoms on for 'big dick show' and he tried to explain but his English wasn't up to the accurate description of the vagaries of Thai authorities and gogo clubs. He sort of said sometimes they (the club) has to cut sex show or make the boys wear shorts for a few weeks if there is a 'crackdown', and somehow wearing condoms meant that the boys weren't COMPLETELY naked if the police suddenly burst in.

I miss Tawan. I've been a silent reader the updates here since I haven't been to Thailand for about 2 years now. Hopefully with the vaccine for Covid out next year, I can visit my favourite bar again.

you are not alone. We did not have update from Tawan for a good while here but they must be opened, otherwise we would hear .

I hope so. I did find a video online of one of Tawan's show. I'm not sure when it was recorded but saw a few familiar faces. That would have to do for now i guess.

I went there last night (26 December). Should have been the height of the high season in normal times.

I was the only customer and the “show” consisted of one bored boy at a time on the stage.

I drank up and left.

Hope it will survive until us aussies can get back there.
