I went last year and probably won’t go again.
We had seats on the beach which was crowded and deafening with LOUD music near us.
The public toilets were crowded and also increased in price at 20 baht a go….also a long way away.
Yes the firework show was scheduled for 4 hours. However, it was in short shows with 45 minutes between some…and nothing to see during the long gaps.

1    Why go to Boyztown, when the selection of boys in Jomtien is better ?
2   Once we're in Jomtien, most of the boys I speak to are paid commission on drinks sold.  There's no appearance money or requirement to be at the bar.   Now not every bar is the same, but that's how most are.   Now if the boys aren't paid for being at the bar & can come & go as they please, why pay an off fee ?

That figures as I have had to refuse many taxis in Thailand and Hanoi for the same reason.

not quite. I was in Melbourne at end of June and it was quite chilly, even in Alice Springs were quite manageable 20 something.

I believe it over 50 floors high with huge cranes on top. Apparently one fell off recently and the powers that be put a temporary stop on the work.
As a guide I stay in Jomtien and you can see the top of it clearly above all else.

I had to meet  a friend in one of he bars and then went to a birthday party for a boy in the bar next door.
I was horrified when I arrived at the complex. You could hear the “noise” half a mile away. There were in fact 3 bands and a solo singer in the Soi. The noise was relentless. 

Thankfully it really pissed down later and that quietened things a bit.
 

Agree with the business review of Emirates. Incredible service and great aircraft so long as you stick with ONLY the A380. 
 
What was not mentioned is the free chauffeur service at each end of the flights. They come and get me from  home to Gatwick Airport (London)  about 60 miles. And take me back home on return. Also take you to Bangkok and back. All included in the business fare. 

If I were to visit Pattaya, I'd usually head for Beertique apart from one reason - live music. If i want a beer with friends or even on my own in the hope I might chat with someone, I do not want music blaring over my shoulder. I have never understood this fascination with live music in eateries and bars.
